Lexus IS and IS-F rumors and news

Supposedly it will be a $70k+ two seater hybrid roadster. I don't think it will be the next Z4 with that price tag.

RC F is supposed to take the limelight while the IS F is meant to go on hiatus while the next generation is being developed. Not many caught this when the 3IS was released, but the RC was built with an optional V8 in mind. The IS was not. Expect this next generation of IS F to go FI 6 likely with these rumored TTV6 and TTV8 powertrains in develpment.
There's a meeting in Torrance today. Hope to know more tomorrow.

Audi has skipped on the RS4 for the new gen, concentrated on the RS5
Remember, Lexus is about being exclusive... why be like the others?

New Lexus IS Receives European 5-Star Safety Recommendation
The Lexus IS 300h has been given a five-star safety ranking from Euro NCAP, making it the safest new car in the Large Family category and one of the top performing cars of 2013. Here’s a video of the crash tests:
The IS scored the maximum points in the side barrier test for adult occupants and protection for 18 month and 3 year infants. The report also praises the IS active hood technology, which automatically provides additional protection for any pedestrian accident.

Car perfoms well under those safety tests. Soooo much better than the 2IS which seems to crumple like an accordian in some tests I've seen. I'm just glad the car is nimble enough to better avoid an accident if need be
btw what does this have to do with the next gen IS F ?
