The truck's already been revealed...and the purpose of the videos is specifically to market the truck.

Why the camoflage?

Actually they are back tracking a bit. Yes the truck was revealed, but now they are showing the torture tests and what the new F-150 went through

Pretty impressive, but at least according to CR the reliability of all of these trucks is pretty darned good. Six of one, half dozen of the other as far as reliability track record for the past 5 years. Not surprising, as fierce as competition is between the Big 3 truck makers. The Tundra is a little bit better, but is definitely not up there as far as configuration options or competitiveness. And I think we have the Tundra to truly thank for the Big 3 evolving as much as they have. The Nissan Titan is still crap in the reliability department.

The Titan replacement can't come soon enough. That and the Frontier are ancient!

I agree. Now the big three are building cars way better than they did 10 years ago.

Default Over Half of Ford F-150 Buyers Pick V6

It seems even the V8 isn’t long for the pickup truck world.

Ford has revealed that over half of F-150 buyers are opting for a V6, marking the first time in about five decades that truck consumers don’t regard a V6 as a downgrade. According to the American automaker, approximately 57 percent of Ford F-150s are being shipped with V6 powerplants, with 47 percent of those buyers opting for the 3.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 with 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. The remaining 10 percent go with the entry-level 3.7-liter V6 with 302 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque.

Last year, Ford’s 5.0-liter V8 accounted for over half of the F-150 sales, but by December, the V8 was taking a backseat to the turbocharged V6 in terms of production and output. Even more telling, Ford expects over 70 percent of the all-new 2015 F-150 pickup will leave the lots with a V6 under the hood.

i bet most pickup buyers rarely ever even use the bed for much.

comedian jim gaffigan said it's like a person dragging around a huge empty suitcase. when you say "but you don't have anything in it!" the person says "well i could if i wanted to!"

anyway jokes aside, this new f-150 is an automotive milestone. it will be by far the highest volume aluminum vehicle ever made.

That's definitely me, lol. I rarely tow, or haul ,but does come in handy when I need to. I don't need a truck but sure is nice to have one.

However, the new F150 looks amazing. I'd of love to pick up a F150 FX4 but the pricing between a similar equipped Tundra vs the big three was was around $5000+ difference when I was shopping for a truck.

Toyota has to price its trucks aggressively if its to win over any people from the Big 3.
