Default Mansory turbocharges the Lamborghini Huracan to 850 HP

Torque bumped to 780 Nm

Mansory has developed a comprehensive tuning program for the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4.

Work started on the outside where the Huracan has received several carbon bits and pieces such as the front and rear bumpers, side mirrors and skirts along with a different diffuser and a custom rear wing. The front and rear aprons have also been modified while the stock wheels were replaced with Mansory’s 20-inch front & 21-inch rear set combined with 245/30ZR20 and 325/25ZR21 tires, respectively.

The 5.2-liter V10 engine has received a turbocharger, new fuel pressure control, high-performance exhaust manifold and muffler, along with optimized electronics & transmission management and new intake manifold fuel injectors. Thanks to these changes, output has been bumped from the series 610 HP (448 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) to 850 HP (625 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque.

As a result of the additional oomph, the turbocharged Huracan sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds which makes it 0.3s quicker than the stock car. Top speed has also increased a little bit from 202 mph (325 km/h) to 205 mph (330 km/h).

Mansory says a new wide body kit will be displayed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show early next month.

Default Mansory Torofeo Is A 1,000HP Lamborghini Huracan

The Lamborghini Huracan wasn’t radical enough for the folks at Mansory, who decided to give it consistent styling and performance upgrades.

The Mansory Torofeo sources its name from “toro,” the Spanish word for bull, and Lamborghini’s Super Trofeo racing cars. The tuned Huracan features radical changes to the body, engine and interior.

From a styling point of view, the car features a newly designed carbon fiber body kit consisting of a new front apron, striking side skirts, new mirror housings, enhanced wheel arches, a big rear wing and a massive diffuser.

Due to the new body kit, the car is 30mm wider at the front and 40mm wider at the rear. Other exterior upgrades include the daytime running lights in a crystal design. Interior modifications are limited to leather and Alcantara covered seats, a new sports steering wheel, aluminum foot pedals and a host of carbon fiber accents.

The most important upgrade is the engine, as the standard 5.2-liter V10 unit has received new pistons, connecting rods, bearings, camshafts, a water-cooled intercooler, an entire fuel system, as well as two bearing-mounted turbochargers.

The Torofeo also has a completely newly aligned exhaust system from the engine to the stainless steel tailpipes in the rear apron. All these changes result in a peak power of up to 1,000 hp, compared to 610 hp in the standard car, while maximum torque is electronically limited to 1,000Nm (737lb-ft).

Thanks to these improved values, the four-wheel drive Torofeo needs just 2.7 seconds (0.5 seconds less than the standard Huracan) to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and is able to reach a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).

Default Lamborghini Huracan getting two RWD versions

Huracan Superleggera in the works

Lamborghini has announced the development of two rear-wheel drive versions of the Huracan.

The reveal was made by Lamborghini chief test driver Giorgio Sanna in an interview with EVO at the launch of the Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo track-only car in Malaysia. One of the cars is expected to take the shape of a Huracan Superleggera which aside from adopting a RWD layout will also gain some power and lose weight to better compete with Ferrari's recently introduced 488 GTB. There's also going to be a more affordable rear-wheel drive Huracan which will likely be commercialized as the "LP 610-2".

An official announcement should be made sometime next year and these RWD Huracans will represent a follow-up to the Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni edition which later on evolved into a regular production model called "LP 550-2" also sold in a Spyder variant.

Although if given the choice I'd choose an AWD Lamborghini, I do like that they offer RWD variants.

Also, how easy is it to tune Lamborghini's which currently employ NA motors? Do the ECU's have less securities than Toyota ones?

On this episode of Ignition, presented by Tire Rack, Jonny Lieberman gets behind the wheel of the latest super car from Sant’Agata: the Huracan. Mechanically a short-wheelbase version of the coming soon Audi R8, the Huracan looks to be a blend of classic Lamborghini design motifs, dating all the way back to the Countach and Miura. Speaking of those two, they never even kinda drove 1/10 as good as they looked. No Lambo ever has. Jonny feels that this one might be different, so he enlists the help of his friend, pro driver Randy Pobst, to figure out exactly how good this latest Lamborghini actually is. How good is it? Watch and find out!

We take to the ice to see how the Lamborghini Huracan fares against a snowmobile and some huskies!

Developed by Lamborghini's Squadra Corse squad in conjunction with Dallara, it will compete in the 2015 Blancpain GT Series.

The Lamborghini Huracan is a brand-new model from the famed Italian supercar maker. The Huracan flaunts the exclusivity that comes with packing over 600 horsepower and costing nearly a quarter-million dollars, but the value of its existence transcends mere power and price.

Default Maintaining A Lamborghini Huracan Could Be Less Costly Than You Think

It's known that some of the older supercars needed to have their engines removed for a simple oil change, but technology has evolved and you could probably do it yourselves in a Lamborghini Huracan.

That would save you a decent amount of money, since going to an average dealership will make you about $1,000 poorer, while buying the oil, filter and necessary tools will end up costing you roughly $300, according to this Huracan owner.

However, there's a catch, because if the supercar is still covered by its warranty and something happens to the engine, then the Raging Bull will not supply a fresh V10 free of charge and you'll probably end up paying approximately $80,000 for a new one.

What about the brake pads? Well, it seems that if the vehicle is equipped with ceramic brakes, then the pads can usually last for about 40,000 miles (64,374 km), while the average life for the rotors is up to 90,000 miles (144,841 km), so owners should be covered in this department for years and years.

Unless there's something really wrong with an average Lamborghini Huracan, this owner states that the biggest expense could be tires and insurance (the depreciation is another issue altogether), so if you're looking to spend around $200,000 for a used Huracan, then you might want to check out this video.

Default Lamborghini Huracan RWD Coupe vs AWD Spyder: A Case Of 'Less Is More'?

Like its predecessor, the Huracan is being offered with a wide array of versions, so customers are spoiled for choice.

In the automotive business, the top-of-the-range variant is usually the best, but don’t be quick to rule out the cheapest, least powerful car in this case.

The Huracan LP580-2 may be the entry-level Lamborghini, but it’s still powered by the same 5.2-litre V10 and comes exclusively with rear-wheel-drive. Sure, it weighs less than its drop-top counterpart, for example, but it’s also down on power. With 572 hp and 533 Nm (393 lb-ft) of torque, the Huracan LP580-2 is 30 hp and 27 Nm (20 lb-ft) short than the Spyder, but is it enough to make a difference?

Auto Express journalist Steve Sutcliffe doesn’t necessarily think so, saying there are subtle differences between them. He deems the Spyder softer, more refined, and more comfortable, as opposed to the LP580-2 – which is being described as rabid, and manic.

The RWD Lambo is the driver’s choice, but this shouldn’t come as a surprise since it respects the same recipe as the LP550-2 Balboni and its front wheels are not corrupted by having to put down power as well as steering the car.

As to which is the fastest, there really isn’t much between them; for the record, then the LP610-4 Spyder has a (very) slight edge, though it's hard to imagine anyone feeling short-changed with "just" 580 horsepower.

Default Lamborghini Reportedly Planning Huracan Spyder Performante

Lamborghini hasn't even come out with the new Huracan Superleggera coupe yet, and already rumors are circulating about the followup roadster version.

The speculation stems from a trademark application that AutoGuidecame across for the name Huracan Performante, which will speak volumes (or at least one very specific volume) to those well-schooled in the Bolognese automaker's nomenclature and model history.

Towards the end of the lifecycle of the Huracan's predecessor, Lamborghini rolled out the Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante. It was essentially the convertible version of the Gallardo Superleggera, packing a more powerful engine, a more aggressive setup, and less weight than the standard Gallardo Spyder, of which it was arguably (if not empirically) the pinnacle version.

Now it would appear that the House of the Raging Bull is preparing to apply a similar treatment to the Huracan, bringing the less weight/more power formula to the company's drop-top, ten-cylinder model much in the same way it did with the Aventador SV Roadster.

Expect Lamborghini to release the Huracan Spyder Performante within the year after the Superleggera coupe, which we hope will arrive shortly.
