i wonder if the screen is like that so you can tilt/turn it like a rear view mirror to adjust for different driver head positions?

New C Class...any info on size specs? Same frame/WB? Same exterior/interior size?

Is this a "major" or "refresh" update?

Thanks...Tom

I can't believe the C-class is getting a new generation, I still find the current model fresh looking and really handsome inside and out and they sell like hotcakes.

The interior is nice but I agree that looks like a bloody iPad or Galaxy Tab sitting in your face. Really not pleasing. It won't matter though

It looks like the CD slot is gone...so mb is going to be the first one to slowly phase out the cd?

I think this sleek interior is more fitting for the CLA than the c class.

Agree on both points - didn't realize that the C-Class was already up for a new generation. The current car looks great still, IMO.

Something about that interior isn't quite jiving for me...the screen looks like a bad after thought (Mazda-esque) and I'm not quite sure what that massive bin/storage box is for, directly in the middle of the waterfall dash?

If I'm not mistaken, the CD player is still there.

It's located just above the analog clock

Thats not a bad idea, might even happen since I recall Apple announcing they were working with car manufacturers on a car version of IOS.

all the germans seem to favor the "ipad stuck on the dash" look. also looks like MB beat out lexus for full touch based nav controls?

Until you lose it and have to go to MB to purchase a $3k replacement

Really really hate the massive storage bins under the vent. I can only hope this is the euro model which usually don't get cup holders. Hopefully the US models get something there.

The interior looks very retro. I don't understand the screen - I would think it would be very difficult to see due to glare? Screens set into the dash have had a "hood" for this very reason. The ones that haven't, like in the LR2 or the JX, can be difficult to see.

Yup, MB beat Lexus to the punch it seems. The NX or RC will probably be the first Lexus with the track pad.
