2014/2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Thread

Gotta say that this looks the part of an entry luxury car. And if you haven't seen the latest pics of the interior you really should. I'm too lazy to post them myself. Has a similar attention to materials and design detail that graces the new S class interior. Destroys everything else in the class IMO.

Here's some that DustinV posted:
The attention to detail, color, use of wood, even those cloth seats look nice. For what you're paying I do hope this feels as good as it looks. If it does then Mercedes has completely elevated the C-Class to be THE Luxury leader in its competitive class.

I honestly don't see how anyone could go totally against it in any way. It seems really well done inside and out with some really awesome tech. The circular vents even are growing on me. That interior seems really well done.
The thing is going to sell just as good as the last model, which is 2.7 million for those that missed it.
Imagine it modified with some 20s…
Air Suspension, at this price point….un-heard of…
DO WANT!

Wow...
I'd rather have that than an E Class!

The interior sure looks nice on the photoshopped photos. But I'm willing to bet that in person it will feel even worse than that of the 3IS
For example what's with that screen? Was it too much to ask for a integrated display?
And let's not talk about the 1.8L (C200) drivetrain. GARBAGE!

Front looks good. Pretty conservative on the changes from its predecessor.
Rear is a paradoxical combination of vomit-inducing and bland.
Interior is stunning (best in class, IMO).

The Lexusification of Mercedes continues, not just in the softer more Lexus like body styling but also:

I guess he thinks MB's commercial is a copy of the Lexus commercial?
That style of auto commercial is hardly new, with dramatic lighting and quick cutaways, etc.
Look at this Infiniti commercial from 1991:

Also Mercedes has its own design language. There's nothing "Lexus" about it. In fact, I'd say Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, and Audi all have distinctive design languages.
The only brand that seems to blatantly copy other brands these days is Hyundai.

2. The two trailers are similar in concept. A sport model and a luxury model, one dark, one light, with both driving together, cut aways to each driving by itself and close ups of each while driving, complete with interior angles including the whole joystick control and what appears on the screen. Cut to the end where both are parked next to eachother and the video (both of which are the exact same length btw) cuts to the branding. Similar style music as well. And all hybrids too!
It has nothing to do with the 1991 Infiniti commercial.
Lexus Europe is top notch for videos presenting the cars, I'm not surprised MB found some inspiration there.
