BMW continues to baffle us with a white prototype of an M4 Coupe wearing some intriguing new parts.

Captured this time testing out in the open on the snow instead of the Nürburgring racetrack, the mysterious M4 tester with the "Safety Car – Official Car of MotorGP" decals sports a number of items that are not found on the M4 MotoGP or the M4 DTM Safety Cars.

Among these are a large fixed rear wing, a redesigned front bumper with a lip spoiler, larger brakes and a lowered chassis that brings the M4 a little bit closer to the ground.

If this isn't some sort of an advanced Safety Car prototype, then we could be looking at a forthcoming special edition M4 in the likes of the E92 M3 GTS, which featured similar aerodynamic upgrades along with a 30hp boost in power and a 190kg (419 lbs) reduction in weight over the standard M3 Coupe. No need to tell you which of those two scenarios we prefer…

Not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed

A valet driver decided to take a customer's white BMW M4 for a ride around the parking lot.

You probably have seen your fair share of BMW M4 reviews but certainly not from a valet driver who keeps making mistake after mistake so it would be more appropriate to just mute the video. He decided to take a client's car through a busy underground parking garage and drive it recklessly but luckily the M4 escaped without any damages.

Certainly not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed, he uploaded the video which shortly proved to be a huge mistake as the guys from Bimmer Post did a little bit of investigation and identified him. They contacted the employer right away and needless to say the guy was sacked immediately and hopefully he won't ever work as a valet driver again.

While this isn't your "own the drag strip" type of package, German tuner Kaege is offering a more than decent 517 PS , 700Nm power upgrade for the F30 BMW M3, as well as the F82 M4 Coupe.

Your everyday BMW M3 is quite the performer. It features a 431 PS in-line 6 cylinder engine, that also produces 550Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque from as low as 1,850rpm. It's good enough to take it from 0 to 100km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds.

While the increase in power isn't something to write home about, the extra torque should definitely give you plenty of midrange performance to absolutely blast your way past any factory spec M3. Kaege has priced this power upgrade at €2,799, which to be fair, sounds like a good deal nowadays.

If you want the suspension mods as well as the carbon fiber panels for the backrests (basically everything you see in the pictures), you'll need to part with an extra €6,447 - including the 20" BBS wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Unfortunately there are no speed and acceleration numbers in the press release to indicate just how much the performance of the car has changed, but the power upgrade alone sounds like a good investment to us.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 in Las Vegas, BMW presented the BMW M4 Concept Iconic Lights, providing further evidence that it is a world leader in the development of Laserlight. The rear light clusters of the BMW M4 Concept Iconic Lights model are based on OLEDs (organic light-emitting diodes).

Just because you've recently bought a BMW M4 doesn't mean you should be instantly satisfied with your purchase. What if you could have done more? What if you would have gotten the M Performance Parts?

Well, odds are you'd be perfectly satisfied with both the factory stock M4 as well as this, more spectacular version, fully loaded M Performance style.

It features a carbon fiber front splitter, grilles, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, side mirrors, side skirts and roof - all part of the same package. So are the Akrapovic quad exhaust tips by the way, which do make the M4 sound quite a bit better.

We do love the M body decals on the Alpine White paint job - it's a classic and it looks amazing. Inside the car you get your M Performance steering wheel which is obviously wrapped in Alcantara leather, featuring race display and carbon trim which goes wild throughout the cabin.

The M Performance Parts can be applied to the M4 Convertible as well as the M3 Sedan, which of course we already knew, but there's nothing like seeing a car you love in motion, and so the video itself is a good bit of fun.

RWD vs 4x4

A BMW M4 Coupe participated in a rather peculiar tug of war against a Toyota Tacoma.

Nick Murray is the owner of a BMW M4 Coupe which he purchased several months ago and now he decided to check out whether his rear-wheel drive high-performance coupe is able to compete with a 4x4 Toyota Tacoma in a tug of war on a snowy road. Needless to say, the Tacoma won but surprisingly the difference between the two was not that significant.

If the name Nick Murray rings a bell, that's because last year we posted a story about him sharing his complaints regarding a 2013 Porsche 911 which he bought after saving money for five years. He encountered many issues with the car and was eventually contacted by Porsche who offered him a full refund or a replacement. He took the money and bought this red BMW M4 F82.

The 2016 BMW M4 GTS has been spied undergoing testing in Scandinavia.

Disguised as a MotoGP safety car, the prototype has a familiar design but adopts a front spoiler and a fixed rear wing. These changes are relatively minor but Motor.es has reported the production variant will also feature laser headlights and OLED taillights.

Our spies couldn't get close enough to snap interior pictures but we can see Recaro seats and a roll cage. It remains unclear if these will carry over to the production model but, at the very least, we should expect some minor interior changes.

BMW has been tipped-lipped about specifications but previous reports have suggested the model will use additional carbon fiber and aluminum components to reduce weight. The car is also rumored to have a sportier suspension and possibly an upgraded 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine.

OLEDs produce light from wafer-thin semiconducting layers of organic material.

For the first time, both the tail lights and rear direction indicators feature OLED technology. The illuminated surfaces are positioned to produce a three-dimensional lighting effect. OLEDs also take up less space due to their thin size.
