Keep in mind the 63 thousand which they post online for the Tesla is after tax credits.
The 75 thousand for the ELR is before the tax credit. So they are really level in terms of price. Also the Tesla price climbs very easily. You have to pay for leather, fog lights, etc. The ELR comes standard with almost everything. There are only two big ticket items for the ELR and they are safety related assistance systems.
I am not saying the ELR is a better car/value but they are really the same price instead of the 10K delta in favor of the Tesla that people are discussing.
Also, I bet you can negotiate a few thousand off the ELR which you can't do (not even a penny) on the tesla.
All that being said, Ill take the Tesla please

Data shows the Tesla is not a replacement vehicle but an addition... Maybe that is what GM figures here.. Clearly those with the means can...
It looks better than the ATS coupe in pics...
It's a trendy market and maybe with great marketing/advertising they can make it work

Why in the hell would you buy an ELR when you can have a 556hp CTS-V Coupe for less $$$$$. I mean god damn, gas mileage is something for the peasants to worry about, if you can drop $70k cash on a new car, why in the hell would you care about gas mileage.

That's the problem though, a Cadillac is not something that the "environmentalist" type would even consider. 100+ years of big V8 cars, its a VERY hard sell for them to be pushing a "green" car. Plus a Cadillac is what "the man" or "the establishment" drives, a person looking for a green car doesn't want that type of baggage/association.

hummmm maybe they'll be a 556hp ELR-V, LOL!!!
actually I'd like to see this body (not drivetrain) as the new CTS coupe.
