Gtr is an absolute monster!!! Love this thing!!!
It breaks all the rules: It's heavy, it's down at least two cylinders, lower hp and tq ratings, yet it literally will own the day. Magnificent feat of engineering.
00:41 gtr says "See ya!".

Did Nissan have the smallest engine in this entire race at Bathurst???? If so, even more impressive!

They had the GT-R Nismo at the Chicago Auto Show.

Getting kind of over done style wise for me but the performance is obviously stellar.

Default Nissan delivers the first GT-R Nismo in the U.K. [video]

All UK models have been sold

Nissan has delivered the first GT-R NISMO in the United Kingdom.

In order to celebrate the event, Nissan took owner Nick Coombes to the Thruxton Circuit where he received a one-to-one track tutorial by Nismo racing driver Jann Mardenborough.

According to Coombes "Once you’ve owned a GT-R nothing else will do. This is my third GT-R and as soon as I knew the GT-R Nismo was being made I knew I had to have one.”

As a refresher, the GT-R Nismo a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 600 bhp (447 kW) and 481 lb-ft (651 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed sequential dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system which enabled the car to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:08.679.

Unfortunately, only 24 GT-R NISMOs will be imported in the United Kingdom and all of them have already been sold.

Two automotive legends go head to head on track - including drag races, slalom and braking tests - to see just how far Godzilla has come.

Default 2016 Nissan GT-R With More Ponies And New 45th Ann. Gold Edition Priced In The US

Another year, another model year update (the ninth, since its launch in 2007), for Nissan's GT-R supercar that is now available as a 2016MY in the USA.

Prices remain the same as last year for the three 2016 GT-R models at $101,770 for the Base Premium, $111,510 for the Black Edition and $149,990 for the NISMO.

The Base and Premium GT-Rs benefit from a 5hp increase to 550PS or 542hp through some fine-tuning of the VR38DETT 3.8-liter twin turbo V6's electronics, while peak torque is unchanged at 463 lb-ft. Fuel economy is rated at 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway.

Power ratings for the GT-R NISMO remain unchanged for the 2016MY at 600PS or 592hp.

The only other updates are the new 20-spoke alloy wheels for the GT-R Premium and a new limited-availability 45th Anniversary Gold Edition with special exterior paint color named "Silica Brass" that harks back to the 2001 Skyline GT-R M-Spec (R34 Type) and which is offered exclusively as a $1,000 option on the Premium model.

Nissan said that fewer than 30 examples of the Gold Edition are slated for the US this year, adding that the limited model will also get a special gold-tone VIN plate located inside the engine compartment and a special commemorative plaque on the center console inside.

As capable and amazing a performer as the the GT-R is, I've never been a fan of its looks. I hope the next one looks more exotic

Default Gorgeous 'Satin True Blood' Nissan GT-R Poses on Strasse Wheels

Click here to view more photos

Besides being one of the coolest cars in the world, this particular GT-R is also wearing one of the coolest-looking and sounding colors we've ever seen - Satin True Blood. Only thing missing is Sookie.

Before we talk more about the car, let's make sure we do this set of S5 Deep Concave SC wheels justice by saying they look terrific. In fact, we like them more than we did that set of SM5R wheels from that 458 Italia we showed you last month.

In this case, these wheels are finished in Matte Brushed Bronze in the center and Gloss Brushed Bronze on the lips, while measuring 21x10.5 up front and 21x12.5 in the back - which is what we call 'wide', while keeping a very straight face.

They're also available to order with dimensions ranging from 18" to 24" and in any color configuration. Great news for Prius owners, right?

As for the car, it's wrapped in Bill Compton's favorite color and it's been lowered while also receiving a couple of carbon fiber bits.

Being honest, they almost took it too far with the wheels being this large, but in the end we like the way this GT-R looks and we're sure it's still the same beast we know and love once you start flirting with its 550 HP V6 engine.

Default ETS Nissan GT-R Smashes 1/4 Mile World Record With 7.49s Run

There's nothing better in the world of straight line time trials, than setting a new 1/4 mile record. And yes, the culprit is naturally a Nissan GT-R.

Until now, the 1/4 mile World Record belonged to the 2,000 HP AMS Alpha Omega which ran a monster 7.7 seconds at 186 mph (300km/h), which by the way, still holds the 1/2 mile record to this day.

But it's time for it to step aside and let this other amazing GT-R have it's "7 seconds of fame" thanks to all the work those guys over at ETS (Extreme Turbo Systems) put in.

The ETS GT-R nailed a 7.49s run at 189 mph (304.3 km/h) during the TX2k15 event, which not just tops the AMS GT-R's time, it downright obliterates it.

When it comes to 1/4 mile runs, even a thousandths of a second can mean the world to you. Of course, when we're already talking tenths, not hundredths of a second, you've already been decimated on the strip.

Now, let just wait and see what the Alpha Omega GT-R has to say about this.
