It's supposed to be "Ziggy" the duck. Damn autocorrect lol.
Like I said, it's just a technicality. No sense dwelling any more on it. Regardless, the birds are now history anyway. First, the wreath was gone......now the birds. Next, they will probably do what Buick did and take off all the colors, leaving just a chrome outline.

I liked the ducks! Lol

I love the front end in person, so dynamic and futuristic. I could hang it on the wall as art!

Default 2016 Cadillac CTS-V to debut in Detroit

Could have up to 650 bhp

Cadillac executives have reportedly confirmed plans to introduce the 2016 CTS-V at the North American International Auto Show.

The company is keeping details under wraps but previous spy photos have shown the model will have an aggressive front fascia with a revised grille. The high-performance sedan will also have a bulging hood, a rear diffuser and a four-tailpipe exhaust system - among other things.

Cadillac has been relatively tight-lipped about performance specifications but the CTS-V is expected to use a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. It produces 650 bhp (485 kW) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque in the Corvette Z06 but it could be detuned for use in the Cadillac.

I absolutely believe the CTS-V will be in the 600+hp neighborhood. GM will certainly make a statement against the Euro's of this class and partly being motivated by the Hellcats. Power Wars are alive as ever

I agree.

And when the 2nd gen CTS-V was introduced with 556 HP Caddy wasn't worried about surpassing the Z06 which at the time was at 505 HP.

While I wouldn't be shocked if they matched the 650 HP in the new Z06 my guess is the new V is going to be in the 620 - 625 HP range.

At the current moment F is shaping up to fall somewhere between Audi S/ Cadillac VSport and full fledged M, AMG, RS, R/R-S. there was a rumor of a hotter Lexus F-S/FS we'll see.

Default 2016 Cadillac CTS-V to have 640 bhp

The horsepower wars go nuclear

We're just a few weeks away from the official unveiling on the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V but spy photographer Chris Doane has revealed the model will have a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 640 bhp (477 kW / 649 PS).

If Doane is correct, the CTS-V will use a slightly detuned version of the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that powers the Corvette Z06. It produces 650 bhp (485 kW / 659 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque in that particular model.

To put those numbers into prospective, the Mercedes E63 AMG has a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 that produces up to 577 bhp (430 kW / 585 PS) in S guise. The BMW M5, on the other hand, has a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with up to 567 bhp (423 kW / 575 PS) when equipped with the competition package.

More notably, the previous CTS-V had a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that developed 556 bhp (415 kW / 563 PS) and 551 lb-ft (746 Nm) of torque. This means the new model will have 84 bhp (62 kW / 85 PS) more than its predecessor.

Default 2016 Cadillac CTS-V unveiled with 640 bhp [video]

Has a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h)

Cadillac has officially unveiled the 2016 CTS-V, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show.

Set to battle the BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG, the redesigned CTS-V features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 640 bhp (477 kW) and 630 lb-ft (855 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).

On the styling front, the sedan has an aggressive front fascia with a mesh grille and larger air intakes. The car also has front splitter and a ventilated carbon fiber hood. Moving further back, we can see widened fenders, aerodynamic side skirts and a rear spoiler. Other notable highlights include a four-tailpipe exhaust system and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

If that's not sporty enough, the company will offer a Carbon Fiber package that includes a "more aggressive front splitter, hood vent, rear diffuser and spoiler."

The cabin largely carries over but comes nicely equipped with semi-aniline leather / sueded microfiber sport seats, matte carbon fiber trim and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The car also has a CUE infotainment system, a Performance Data Recorder and a Bose audio system - among other things.

To keep things under control, engineers increased the structural stiffness by 25 percent. In order to achieve this, they installed a strut tower-to-tower brace, a strut tower-to-plenum brace and a strengthened rocker bulkhead. There's also V-braces, stronger cradle-to-rocker braces and upper tie bar-to-bumper braces.

The product team didn't stop there as they also added a sport-tuned suspension, an improved steering system and an electronic limited-slip rear differential. The car also has larger prop shafts, Brembo brakes and an upgraded Magnetic Ride Control system. There's also a "competition-spec" Performance Traction Management system with four different modes: Tour, Sport, Track and Snow.

The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V will go on sale late next summer and pricing will be announced closer to launch.

It's going to be a real pain in a$$ trying to hookup the rear tires even with launch control... I'm hoping they put 305 or 315 tires on the rear... Probably going to start around $85-$90K if I had to guess..

I can't wait to test drive one...

Default 2016 Cadillac CTS-V arrives with 640 hp, 200-mph top speed

http://www.autoblog.com/2014/12/22/2...oit-auto-show/

Ask the company's executive team, and they'll tell you "this is the maximum Cadillac V-Series." It's the 2016 CTS-V sedan, and it packs the very best of what's possible at Cadillac. And the company says it doesn't think "anyone thought it was possible that we could push [the CTS-V] this far."

The big news is what's underhood: General Motors' supercharged, 6.2-liter LT4 V8, tuned to 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. That's 10 hp and 20 lb-ft less than the monstrous Corvette Z06, and the result is the most powerful car Cadillac has ever produced. With rear-wheel drive, launch control and the eight-speed automatic transmission (sorry, folks – no more manual transmission here), Cadillac says the 2016 CTS-V will sprint to 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 200 miles per hour.

Naturally, Cadillac's engineers say they have tuned the CTS-V to ensure it can put all that power to the ground with the most precision and poise possible. That starts with the excellent Magnetic Ride Control active damping system (with a claimed 40-percent increase in responsiveness)and a 25-percent increase in structural stiffness that should improve overall handling and steering. What's more, a high-performance Brembo brake package comes standard, as do 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in seriously sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires that will reportedly offer 1g in lateral acceleration.

Cadillac also says that all changes to the bodywork are functional. That includes a carbon-fiber hood, front splitter, rear spoiler and diffuser that are super light and aid with aerodynamics and weight reduction – all of which will be available as an optional package for folks who like the exposed carbon look. Inside, it's more of what we're used to on lesser CTS models, but there's newly optional carbon fiber trim, microfiber suede upholstery trim, and some seriously awesome Recaro seats.

Additionally, as we exclusively reported earlier, Cadillac will offer GM's Performance Data Recorder in the CTS-V. It records high-definition video with data overlays that's sharable via social media. Beyond that, Cadillac will offer the usual smattering of tech goodies, including Siri Eyes Free, OnStar with 4G LTE, CUE infotainment with navigation and Bose audio.

The CTS-V will launch later next year, following the debut of the smaller ATS-V. In the meantime, the sedan will officially bow at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in just a few weeks. Pricing has yet to be announced, but we assume it'll be revealed in the not-too-distant future. In any case, this thing looks seriously good, and to say we're stoked to drive it would be an understatement. This ought tobe the maximum Cadillac V-Series, indeed.
