I completely disagree with the assessmet on that A6 body style. I think it is gorgeous. As a 335i owner, it pains me to say this, but this E90 sedan style just looks dreadful in my eyes now-a-days:

The refresh in 2010 is much better.

This thread has potential.

Yeah I think the Audis have aged very well. I was just thinking the other day how aged the E60s look, especially the pre-refresh.

Have to agree. That so-called "dated" A6 rear end looks better than a lot of brand-new vehicles.

Porsche 911. Its basic body-style has been around since 1964....and the VW Beetle's, of course, long before that.

I don't find it objectionable. The family resemblance remains even in A4's from the mid 90's.

One of the threads in the LS section was also about aging. I can view the LS as "classic" in design "for the time". My thought is the car is not one that shows a lineage of design-style progression. In that respect, it is dated. The 90-00 do carry over but from '01 on, each generation deviates further. Whatever the style trend is, that will reflect in that generation.

BMW has some commonality as does MB though they are still dated in my view. This is not a comment on aestheticaly pleasing but simply a dated look.

LAND CRUISER 100 SERIES and LX 470....
All the old Land Cruisers in general have aged well in my opinion.

04-06 LS430 has a elegant design destined to stand the test of time even if its a copy of the 92-98 S-class.

The E60 has aged well in the sense that it started off ugly and hasn't gotten much worse over the years. The E39 aged better IMO.
