GS is RWD... only way they can increase hp in GS as it is now, is to open up few hundred more rpm... that makes little sense to me, it is not usable power if you have to rev to 6800 rpm.

They need to put maximum tech in every car, so if thats 300hp for 3.5l V6 with Atkinson Cycle, 8AT, D4S, they need to add it to every car that uses that V6 engine, not gimp it... there is huge difference between GS and ES already in performance.

Sometimes we hear the Toyota Mark X with the 2GR-FSE has 316hp or 10hp more than current Lexus FSE applications. Is this true and does it have something ours doesn't or is there a different method of rating horsepower overseas similar to say Imperial mpg vs US mpg.

Wow can't wait for the 13' LS style LX update, that is going to be pretty badass, any idea on ETA to announcement?

Anybody thinking the LX will do as well as the GX update?

keep in mind that we saw LC200 MMC and it is VERY minor when it comes to the look, but they added new engines, safety tech and who knows what else.

So I am not sure if LX will get that changed look wise.

^ Are you talking about the pic of the Red LC?

I get mixed messages when reading about what the updated LC and LX will get in terms of looks, when reading about the LC it seems minor but when its about the LX it seems more than that. Not long now though.

Btw you do realise that pic is not real but a photoshopped version of the current LC.I think it is a very basic idea of some of the info they received and we will get more exterior changes than what that pic shows. Not long now we will see them soon.

Very good question. If Lexus updated the spindle grill and added a base, Premium and Luxury trim similar to the GX I'm sure LX sales would definitely increase...

i dont see them doing much more but lets see... in any case, new engines, safety and infotainment for me are bigger news than front bumper changes.

Is it safe to say the next LS will be shown in January 2016 at NAIAS?

Every LS model has debuted at NAIAS.

Every rumour pegs it as a 2017 MY, which means a launch in 2016, which means a debut at NAIAS based on history.
