Wow so this could mean a totally new generation LX might not be due until the 2020MY???

If it is going to be a major facelift like the 2012 vs 2013 LS you would think it will still have more than a couple of years to go before a new generation arrives because almost everyone is expecting a totally new generation LX to be due for the 2018MY.

Can you please clarify? Do you mean the 2015 will have this option OR do you mean that the new 2016 RX will only have pano roof with the ultra luxury trim?

5LS? I'd be thrilled if true. The new S set a new benchmark in the class. It's going to take a lot to eclipse it, at least in the base form. Let's see what they release.

Thanks, I did realize it was the posting date. I wasn't sure if "This Year" meant the 2015 model or 2016 model.

Pano roof with Ultra Lux trim only seems a little crazy to me since it's not really a luxury option and offered by mainstream brands!

Do you know if this applies to the US option list or is it an international option?

Lexus Safety System + will steer for you, we have known this for a while, it will be available in all models, it is coming to most models by the end of the year, rest of them likely next year. It is not something that will be tied to edition packages only, you will be able to pay $500-$650 to get it anywhere.

I doubt GS 3.5l will get more hp... it will get all the new tech for better efficiency, but it is already making good hp and torque.

Seeing that the 2015 model has been out since October 2014, we have a pretty good handle on what it includes.

Yeah probably. I have some hope since the new RX will make similar hp to the GS which has not been the case until now.

If the refreshed ES gets the same engine output (which is unlikely IMO) as the new RX then they would probably have to increase the hp figures on the GS to differentiate (hopefully) 😄
