Im actually quite pleased that BMW is offering a dedicated RWD coupes in several sizes. It offers plenty of choices for consumers.

Btw a fully loaded M235i with leather, Nav etc will run about 55k. This doesnt include any of the Mperformance parts avail like LSD, exhaust, BBK, etc.
Therefore its hardly a poor man's BMW. Its geared for enthusiasts.

Lexus has zero coupes as of now...they could use a few lessons of business as usual.

Considering how profitable Lexus is they seem to know a ton about business. We are all well aware there are no coupes from the brand and BMW should be commended for offering multiple coupes within the brand.

Can't wait for that LFA beater from BMW.

It really is great to see this offered again and it has a niche for enthusiasts who want a smaller and slightly lighter car. We have seen the last gen modified and many are beasts and/or sleepers. BMW has upped the luxury it seems and the styling.

Pricing isn't a strong point to me but people lease them mostly. Great job BMW.

Lexus is profitable bec they take Zero risk.
They sell primarily Toyota based FWD platform models.

Its more expensive to develop, market, and sell RWD luxury cars.

LFA is awesome but Lexus lost a TON of $$$ on it. Thank God for Mr. Toyoda for building it, the bean counters would of never even considered it.

I hope the RC coupe will be the start of a coupe revival at Lexus!

I love everything about the new 2-series except the tails. It reminds me of the civic tails for some reason.

Thanks for coming here daily to beat up Lexus Toyota in any thread possible. The brand doesn't know how to run a business, it takes no risk and is a complete failure. Not even sure why we are all here.

If that's what you have to say about Toyota/Lexus, I'd LOOVE to hear your thoughts on Honda/Acura!!!

Acura is pretty much done as A true luxury brand - they have stated that themselves. Lexus has lots more potential.

So a 3 Series coupe is "freaking huge" to you?

You'd rather get this slightly smaller, yet much uglier coupe, that costs close to a 3 Series coupe?

Like I said, "poor man's" BMW . I fully agree, the 2 Series has no business being called a "luxury car", but they will sell a ton of these in Europe, mostly in base model form no less.

Makes you wonder how far BMW is willing to go to insult customers and tarnish their reputation. What's next, will the next-gen base model have crank windows with power windows as an option? ?
