Not at all. It's a picture of a published magazine, meaning the content itself may be a few months old.
There's also no reason a car needs the proper BODY to test the chassis and suspension, especially when the body is what generates the emotional response and drives initial sales and the appearance of it is tightly managed.

I could not disagree more. I think they very clearly look like each other.

Same as at some other Japanese auto-firms......cost-cutting. The dollar/yen ratio has forced some significant cutbacks in the expense of desiging new Japanese-nameplate cars. That's why, at Subaru, we're seeing (and have been seeing, for several years), things like thinner glass/sheet metal, less standard equipment (except that forced by Federal laws), fewer paint-colors, elimination of the classic Subaru two-tones and body-trim packages, more hard-plastic inside, fewer convienence features, substitution of light/cheap CVTs for proper 6-speed automatics, elimination of mechanical limited-slip differentials for less-effective electronic torque-vectoring, and a number of other examples. It's true that recent Subaru sales have done well, but many of the potential buyers, today, don't seem to really seem be looking at the cars closely, and comparing them to what they used to offer.
But Subaru, IMO, even with the cost-cutting, though, and the elimination of some equipment, still makes some of the best and most efficient AWD systems available today.

it still look very good, i assumes this is the regular version, the STI will be much better even, and I really don't want to see another 300HP STI again. They have been non powered up for about 15 years already
