I suspect next generation too but I'll keep hoping I'm wrong

How is the ride quality on the Ct? Is it smooth or like IS?

From personal experience I find it has a firm borderline harsh suspension and booms.

I think Lexus could increase sales of the CT by adding some variants. A CT 200t would definitely bring in more sales. A CT 300h may not necessarily bring in more sales but be more exclusive.

Sales of the 1CT:

2011 - 14,381
2012 - 17,673
2013 - 15,071
2014 - 17,673
2015 - 1,005 as of January
Total = 65,803

So for 2015 Lexus could sell at least 1,005 X 12 = 12,060

I look forward to the 2CT...Lexus please bring us:

CT 200h
CT 200t
CT 300h

who knows what will they bring... new hybrid system is coming so quite likely it will be something between CT200h and 300h engine by default... We will likely get a sedan before we get 2 hybrid engines, but 2.0t is probably likely.

As to the sales in 2015, when it comes to USA, probably close to 2014... Jan is usually worst month in the year.

That doesn't mean the CT is a bad car, in fact it handles well and feels planted during corning. But in terms of smoothness, really only on smooth pavement, while rougher pavement can feel harsh. Likely because the CT has one of the least premium suspensions Lexus makes and the price point. Unique and quirky hatch for sure

Did you drive the F sport or the standard ? I drive a 2012 CT200h and a 300h, both non-f sport, and yes the Ct is a little bit firmer, but nowhere near harsh or bumpy. I know many reviewers find it hard, but I find almost too soft when driving it on a winding road. Thing is that I really don´t like harsh and stiff suspension

did you try 2013/2014 model, is it more compliant? Maybe Euro has different suspension setup? Interestingly enough, i heard performance dampers in F-Sports that have them actually improve the ride over bumps.

I work at a Lexus dealer so all CT years and trims I've driven. Not really a fan of the OEM shocks and springs (never liked my 2IS F-Sport springs either) though I've rode in bagged and coilover CT's which felt more comfortable to me. I suspect the next CT will fine tune the suspension more

Yes, maybe europe has a different setup, and it may depend on what kind of roads it was tested at. There are pretty huge differences here actually, some roads are soft asphalt and some made of concrete, which makes a huge difference in terms of road noise and ride quality.

Default Lexus Revises 2017 CT 200h Range In The UK [20 Pics]

Lexus is reshuffling the UK range oftheir entry-level CT 200h model for the 2017 model year.

The update includes more equipment features and options, plus a new Executive trim level. The British arm of Lexus has also updated the Sport trim level with black details on the grille and door mirrors and a set of matching 17inch alloys in a bid to attract younger clients into their dealerships.

The updated Sport model now have a simplified standard equipment list but it still includes features like a reversing camera, navigation, rear privacy glass, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers and more. Lexus also offers as an £2,500 option the Sport Plus pack which adds parking sensors, smart keyless entry, heated front seats, sunroof and the choice of the optional metallic or two-paint finishes for free.

The 2017 Lexus CT 200h is also available in new colors and upholstery, with the company adding the Copper Brown and Sky Blue metallic finishes and the optional Sonic Titanium. Sport models are the only ones that can opt for the two-tone paint finish which combines the Deep Blue, Sky Blue, Mercury Grey, Fuji Red, Sonic White and Sonic Titanium with a Velvet Black roof. Inside there is the choice of new Red or Ocean Blue fabric upholstery.

The hybrid powertrain remains as is, which translates into a 98hp 1.8-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor for a total combined output of 134hp. CO2 emissions are as low as 82g/km on the basic S model.

Prices kick off at £21,995 for the basic CT 200h S model and reach to £29,995 for the CT 200h Premier.
