Loves Snickerdoodles!
I've been meaning to see it ever since the trailer came out awhile back. Hopefully, I'll get to check it out this coming weekend.
Senna was awesome! Loved that older racing footage, not like today's footage where it's all HD and cameras have better stability control, that older footage just seemed more visceral.

I am looking forward to seeing it, not sure about best car racing movie, "Winning" "Grand Prix", and "Le Mans" were all really good too.
Ron Howard was interviewed on TOP GEAR a few weeks ago for "Rush".

Saw it last night with my wife and a buddy (both really into F1) and we all thought it was good but not great.
Period setting was very good and totally believable, decent acting too - well cast. Excellent camera work and sound.
However IOO (in our opinion, all three of us) both the story and the racing parts fell a little short. The story never made us care about any of the characters, and the on track stuff was very well done but didn't ever pull us far into the excitement of the competition. I think it probably had to do with Ron Howard trying to be as factual and accurate to the story and history. Ended up feeling a bit more like a documentary and a just tiny bit of dramatic license would have improved things a lot.

dave if you watch the youtube interview with james hunt i posted, you'll see they took a fair bit of dramatic license.
i do agree the movie was more about the rivalry and personalities and less about lengthy racing scene segments. i think ron howard wanted to balance it for audiences beyond race fans.
