It looks like I'm about to buy a new Ultrasonic Blue 250f-sport vert and I just showed a work mate a great picture of one on the internet and I can tell she was underwhelmed and was struggling to be positive about it. Oh well, it's a great price to pay because you love something so much that others may not.

I like how so many have said "nice car" even if they don't like it personally. And also not commenting if the person really overpaid. I would never rain on someone's sunny day parade!

I congratulate them and wish them well.
Getting a new car fresh off the dealership is always a treat and its nice when you have friends and family who are happy for you.
As for myself, I get a new car or a new to me car (used) and I don't tell anybody. They find out when they see me rolling or come visit and their response is usually "Why didn't you tell me you got a new car?!" and I reply "Well, now you know."

My family/friends do this as well. Usually on the "oh ****" handles or the visors. My genesis has 2 tied on the visors from 2 friends.

Here is what I have been told after I got my LS 460:
"Where did you get it from? Why didn't you tell me, I know the owner. Could have gotten you a better deal."
"How much did you get it for?"
"I don't see you in that car. I expect to see an old Asian lady with long gloves and wearing one of those welding masks"
