Transporter Refueled Official Trailer Features the Comically Indestructible Audi S8
Here's one 'Transporter' movie where everyone knows what the deal is with the car, yet nobody has a clue as to who the actual driver is.
Well, here's who Ed Skrein is for those of you who don't recognize him - and we don't blame you. He played the gallant Daario Naharis on the epic Game of Thrones TV Show. Still don't remember him? Long hair, kept trying to get in Khaleesi's robe until she actually gave in.
Yeah, that guy.
Well, since he's so used to playing 2nd fiddle on a show where there are so many other, more important characters, what could be more fun for Ed than taking a "backseat" while sitting in the front seat of a brand new Audi S8?
If all you want to see is mindless "car ****", then this might be a movie worth checking out. However if you're into realism, you better check those expectations at the door way before you step into the theater. From what we can tell, this movie looks more like an Audi S8 commercial, with the car doing superhuman things such as bumping into certain objects and not even having a scratch to show for it.
And of course somehow it's always looking like it's just been washed despite Frank (that's the character's name) driving like a maniac, plus lots of other questionable offenses that we're not even going to get into.
That last scene from the trailer speaks volumes about what type of movie this is. Ridiculous.

Audi S8 facelift with Ipanema Brown Metallic paint is a sight to behold
Paint costs €3,100
Audi Forum Neckarsulm currently has on display an exquisite Audi S8 facelift individualized through the Exclusive program.
Audi is asking €116,900 for the standard S8 at home in Germany, but this paint will cost you an extra €3,100 while the 21-inch alloy wheels featuring a five-arm rotor design are available for an additional €2,000. This particular car also has an interior poplar brown wood trim along with the Valcona leather package combined with a gray, alabaster and cognac brown trim jacking up the price tag even further.
Underneath the hood it's the same 8-cylinder 4.0 TFSI twin-turbo engine developing 520 HP (382 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.1 seconds and an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Tipping the scales at 1,990 kg (4,387 lbs), the S8 comes as standard with a quattro all-wheel drive system receiving the engine's power through an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox.

I just saw a rerun of Transporter 3 last week.
The A8 goes off a bridge and into the lake. After getting towed out of the lake by a tractor, it starts again after cranking it like 2 or
3 times.
Man, talk about indestructible!!!!
In all seriousness, the new A8 is sooooo damn boring compared to the last gen.
Such a shame.
And if Statham is not playing the new transporter, then I won't bother with.

The problem with Audi styling is that every sedan looks the same, with the A4-6-8 trio looking like a super sized progression. I'd say only the A7 looks really distinctive. That A8 interior is gorgeous avant garde stuff whereas the A4 and A6 get more utilitarian interiors.

Audi S8 Plus Sounds Like A Jet During Tunnel Acceleration
If you're a fan of big engines sounding off when they're gunning through a tunnel, you'll enjoy listening to this Audi S8 Plus.
Fair warning though, the camera doesn't truly capture what that exhaust is capable of due to its positioning, but if you crank up the volume on your speakers, you can definitely tell how deafening it would be to stand behind this car in a tunnel while it's accelerating.
What makes the S8 Plus tick is a 4.0-liter TFSI unit rated at 605 PS and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, which help it get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds.
It's got more power than the regular S8 thanks to a new engine control unit, upgraded exhaust valves and optimized turbo geometry. It's what makes that acceleration possible and it's what helps this over 2 tonne (4,552 lbs) luxury saloon hit a top speed of 305 km/h (189 mph).
If you want a "closer look" at just how loud the S8 Plus can be, check out this drag racebetween the Audi and a Panamera Turbo - where there are cameras positioned nearer to the exhaust.
