On this episode of Head 2 Head presented by Tire Rack, Jonny Lieberman heads out to the edge of Death Valley, California to determine if the updated Jaguar F-Type has a prayer against the AMG GT S. Back in 2015, the mighty AMG took home Motor Trend’s coveted Best Driver’s Car award. Why? Because it’s so fantastic to drive. But the sexy cat has a new trick up its sleeve: a new fangled AWD system that might help put all 550 of its horses on the ground. Randy Pobst shows up to take both sports cars around the daunting “Big” circuit at Willow Springs International Raceway. Does Great Britain stand a chance of punching Germany in the nose?

It's amazing how tall and narrow the F-type looks next to the AMG GT.

Pretty good review of the new AMG GT S vs the new 911. I personally liked how the author referred to the AMG GT as the modern equivilent of a Porsche 928. It even looks like a 928, especially in the rear IMO

FYI- that's the outgoing 991.1, not the "new" 991.2.

Awesome video. The Jag's supercharged V8 is something sinister. That said, I like the AMG GT S a tad more simply because it looks more exotic. Can't go wrong with though as either could bring a smile to ones face.

Drove the AMG GTS a couple weeks ago. Very powerful & handles well, but the ride is unbelievably stiff in the comfort mode.

Default New Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster & GT C Roadster Officially Revealed

Mercedes finally pulled the wraps off the AMG GT’s Roadster version which will come in two flavors: the basic 469hp model and the range-topping 547hp GT C model.

The rumors were true then, as the new AMG GT C Roadster not only offers 46hp more than the AMG GT S Coupe but also borrows some of the technology found in the manic AMG GT R.

More specifically, the new AMG GT C comes with the GT R’s rear axle steering, electronic locking differential and a wider rear track. Torque is rated at a peak 501lb-ft (680Nm), available from just 1900rpm. Mercedes reckons it needs 3.7 seconds to hit 62mph from a standstill, with the top speed electronically limited to 196mph (316km/h).

It is just extraordinary what Mercedes-Benz does sometimes. I really wish Lexus would make a 2 seater.

Love the exterior but something looks odd to me with that center console tray.
