From the pics so far, not too impressive looking, just OK.
IMO, they have already overused this Mercedes sports grille which used to be more exclusive among their line-up, limited to their coupes and convertibles only, now their higher end sporty models don't look as special as they used to ...

Following the global success of the SLS AMG, the new Mercedes-AMG GT is the second sports car developed fully independently by Mercedes-AMG. Like no other sports car the new Mercedes-AMG GT skillfully combines sportiness and emotion and makes not only hearts of sport car enthusiasts’ leaping for joy.

Part 2 - Mercedes-AMG CEO, Tobias Moers, on his final test drive with the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT at Bonneville Salt Flats/USA – camouflaged vehicle morphing into the real beauty.

I don't really care for the design... looks like the love child of a Porsche 911 and Pontiac Solstice. I'm sure the performance is jaw dropping, though.

I have a feeling it will be the F-type's match, but perhaps more refined/advanced where it counts. I also have a feeling the facelifted 911 that should be arriving shortly will still have a slight dynamic edge.

The SLS set a high standard for MB...........but this new car looks way better than the previous model.

Absolutely brilliant job by MB and AMG =)

Nah, disappointed. I don't like it at all. Maybe my mind shall change once I see it live, but Toyota FT-1 and Lexus LF-LC look miles better than this. I just wish conceptually the Toyota/Lexus cars will be as perfect as this AMG, that means mid-front engine and transaxle gearbox.

SLS still looks better IMO.
