2015 Mercedes AMG GT interior photos leaked
Model will be unveiled later this year
The first pictures of the Mercedes AMG GT have surfaced online, ahead of the car's rumored debut at the Paris Motor Show.
Drawing cues from the SL and SLS AMG, the GT's cabin is sporty and elegant as it features two-tone leather sport seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and carbon fiber trim. We can also see a wide center console with metallic accents, a touch-sensitive COMAND controller and an AMG drive selector with what appears to be five different modes. The console also has buttons to firm up the suspension, turn off the traction control system and make the exhaust sound sportier.
The cabin also has circular air vents, a freestanding COMAND display and a leather-wrapped dashboard with contrast stitching. Other highlights include an Alcantara roofliner and auxiliary switches above the interior lights.
As we have previously reported, the AMG GT will be unveiled later this year and is expected to feature a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that develops approximately 520 bhp (387 kW). The company could eventually introduce an entry-level model that produces 480 bhp (358 kW) and a range-topping Black Series variant that develops up to 580 bhp (432 kW).

I wonder why they would put hazard lights and seat warmer buttons all the way up next to the roof, doesn't make too much ergonomic sense there. But I see room for potential 2 tv's up there.

Anybody noticed the button at lower right with an exhaust logo on it? That means this car will have an adjustable exhaust flap to make it louder or quieter.
So appearently amg has not forgotten / ignored it's famous v-8 rumble.

Lead Lap
It is overkill lol. I guess that's one of their visual design elements for their most premium vehicles moving forward. Recall the S-class coupe/sedan has 4 vents in the middle as well.

Watch New Mercedes-AMG GT Sport Coupe Thrash its V8 Around the 'Ring
The Mercedes-AMG GT is one of the most anticipated new car premieres of the year, with the countdown clock officially in play after the Germans announced its name and released the first official shots of its interior.
Benz isn't done testing the car, however, which is why we bring you these latest videos from the Nürburgring.
The howling noise you hear from the exhaust tips comes from a newly developed 4.0-liter direct-injection V8 boosted by two turbochargers that will be shared with other, more affordable models in the range like the next C63 AMG.
In the long-nosed AMG GT, the eight-cylinder unit will crank out some 480hp in entry-level trim and approach 600hp when it wears the Black Series edition badge. The fact that it will be significantly lighter than the SLS AMG (possibly tipping the scales under 1,400kg or 3,090 lbs), should help with its performance credentials.
A first introduction is expected in the middle of summer with a motor show debut to follow later in the fall.

Mercedes AMG GT teased, promises to be a monumental engineering achievement [video]
Will be unveiled this fall
Mercedes has released the first teaser video of the highly-anticipated AMG GT.
Set to be unveiled this fall, Mercedes says the model will be "what you get when driving performance is more than just a phrase." The video goes on to say "This is what you get when a company unleashes its creative and engineering forces to combine the absolute best of all it has done into a single, monumental, unwavering engineering achievement."
Mercedes will release additional information in the coming months but they have already shown the interior will feature two-tone leather sport seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and carbon fiber trim.
Performance specifications are still unclear but previous reports have indicated the AMG GT will use a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that develops approximately 520 bhp (387 kW). There have also been rumors about an entry-level variant with 480 bhp (358 kW) and a range-topping Black Series with up to 580 bhp (432 kW).
