Exclamation Need a car suggestion for $20-25K

I'm trying to figure out a good car for a friend his last car was a GS350 that got totaled.. (2008 model)

So waranty, gas mileage, manliness are important.. (last one I made up lol)

I guess GS350 is good alternative too.. He'd like to have built in warranty if possible..

My toughts were

LS460 gas milage 19mpg
(safer..lol but with under 50K miles hard..)
GS350 gas mileage 22mpg

IS250 gas mileage 25mpg
IS350 gas mileage 22mpg (same as GS? lighter no?)

HS250 gas mileage 35 mpg

naa need more of a family car setup.. but thanks for recommendation..also would like to stay with a premium brand considering costs are pretty much same as buying Toyota on the used market..

anyone know what the bad hype is on this HS? So Toyota has stopped making them.. i just figured it was completely based on the Prius... humm.. maybe 35mpg is more of a headache then pleasure at the pump..

Seems like he is overly concerned with mpgs if he had an 08 GS before. I had an 07 and I would simply say just go get another GS used or go with the IS350 for some fun

He wants manliness, but is concerned about gas mileage and lugging the family?

hahahaha yea you gota have a manly car lol these front wheel drivers like HS...I'm not convinced but he did some research on it and seems he didn't like the fact Lexus discontinued it. I looked on our forum and no one that has one has anything negative to say about it.. but it's definitely not a manly car... u need that rear drive raw power to fit that criteria lol..

I will admit that I cant remember a Lexus model ever being killed so fast. It was insane.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Maybe even a KIA Optima. They are gorgeous, sporty, roomy, and come with a turbo. Id say case closed. If I was shopping for a new car under 25K I would go with the KIA Optima . The Accord looks great though but is so run of the mill.
