It will probably start around the same as the new SQ5 and go up from there. As far as I know BMW doesn't offer an M version of the X3, just the 3.0t as the top engine which would compete with the base Macan.

Looks good. You can build and price the Macan on the Porsche website:
http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/macan/
As with all Porsche, the options will quickly raise the price on the vehicle.

Finally, the production photos, and it was worth the wait .
This looks MUCH better than the Cayenne.
Please Porsche, redesign the Cayenne as soon as possible and make it look more like this.

You can order without badges
Interesting engine choices with both being FI V6; I wonder if they'll get a diesel variant and/or NA V6. The TDI Q5 I drove is a great combo IMO and with Porsche treatment I'm sure it would be great in the Macan as well.
To me it looks ok though I prefer the Cayenne and Q5, not a huge fan of the Macan rear, though maybe in person my kind will change.

Wow Porsche never failed to Intensify......(just what the website said)
72k+ for a Turbo Macan ?
I would buy an NX and call it a day.
If I could have won this up coming Mega million though, it will be different

And you would be buying far less car for less money.
While I certainly do agree that CUVs/SUVs have come a long way, I still personally like a sedan for my daily driver. I carry around loose stuff in my trunk all the time, and I like having that compartmentalized from where I and others are so we don't hear/see things rustling and moving around. I like having an SUV in the family.

Porsche Bringing V-6 Macan Diesel to America, No Four-Cylinder Models
Porsche Bringing V-6 Macan Diesel to America, No Four-Cylinder Models
Porsche will bring a diesel version of its new Macan compact crossover to the United States—a move that should drop the price to own a new P-car, er, P-crossover, below $50,000. Porsche told Car and Driver that the 258-hp Macan S diesel will be imported to our shores sometime after the Macan S and Macan Turbo go on sale in early 2014. The Stuttgart-based automaker also confirmed that neither the gas nor diesel turbocharged four-cylinders being built for other markets will be offered in U.S. Macans.
The 3.0-liter V-6 in the Macan S diesel is a variant of the engine used in the Cayenne diesel and several Audi models, including the Q5 crossover that the Macan is based on. It uses a single variable-turbine-geometry turbocharger to make 428 lb-ft of torque from as low as 1750 rpm. We estimate the Macan S diesel should be good for fuel-economy ratings of at least 24 mpg city and 31 mpg highway on the EPA’s test cycle. Like all other Macans, the diesel S sends power to the ground via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
When the diesel Macan does go on sale here—we’re betting it’ll be around the start of 2015—it will slot below the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6–powered Macan S as the entry model and should undercut its $51,095 price by a few thousand dollars. While the turbocharged gas four-cylinder would have made a fitting base Macan, we suspect Porsche is wary of stepping on the toes of corporate-cousin Audi, which earns the bulk of its Q5 sales with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder. Directing price-sensitive Macan buyers to the diesel model will also help Porsche boost the company’s average fuel economy in the face of stricter standards.
