New from Aus, Ex drifter wanting a Lexus
Hey Guys
Have been on nissansilvia.com for 10 years now so i am not exactly new to forums but i'm fresh to this brand of vehicle.
I am located in Adelaide, South Australia and am interested in either importing a S180 Crown Majesta or buying a locally sold Lexus LS430.
Here are some pics of my current car that i'm selling, hope to be as big a contributing member here as i was on my old site and looking forward to being a part of the furniture with you guys
Have done everything myself, the car was even imported stock as a rock Auto
Thanks for your time, Brendan

The s18x series crown majesta is out, ineligible for import into Aus under either the SEVS rules or manufactured prior to 1989 import rules unless you have had it as a personal vehicle as a foreign resident. Plenty of decent LS430s about for around the $20,000 mark, which is not too bad considering good condition J17x series majestas are $18,000 before shipping and compliance.

You are a good man IceIridium : )
Thanks for the reply Marzabella, i have thoroughly researched the 170 series and it just doesn't interest me unfortunately.
The interior appears dated for an early 2000's car and i'm not a fan of the rear end especially of the Majesta, the front's acceptable but i then prefer the LS400.
I have spoken to Iron Chef and they are actually embarking on the slow process of getting the 180's through compliance and eligible for import and road registration.
I'm quite excited about this but wether i can wait around a year or so before going out and buying an LS430 or even considering importing an F50 Cima.... Patience will tell : )

I hope you're patient, they only just got the J170s onto SEVS and that took several years. The days of the import being significantly cheaper than the local equivalent seem to be long gone, most of the time just the purchase price is roughly equivalent, ignoring dealer fees, shipping and compliancing. Sigh.
May I ask what your plans are for the vehicle, enjoy a super comfortable classy sedan or something else? (Can you tell which way I lean )
