Default Itasha (痛車) - adding a touch of Japanese Anime into your car ;)

For those who are into Japanese Anime or Manga, you probably know what this all means.

But for those who don't, well, there here's some basic info to know what's going on:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itasha

Anyways, time to let the pictures do the talking =)

The AE86 had clean lines and great visibility. I had one, and wish I still did! Imagine if they resurrected this style, with modern materials. Of course, it would weigh about 3200 lbs but with today's improved engine efficiency it would still be great! It's great to see it together with an 86 - mind blowing how much bigger the new one is. How our standards change!

Also, why does Haruhi's name always seem to be spelled in Katakana? This always mystifies me. (She's on the white Alfa)

Great pics by the way. Thanks!

The American equivalent is putting food brands on your car. I won't high jack your thread but if you want to google it search for "donk cars"

I just searched it........and wow, a lot of these vehicles have really "humongous wheels". More for lolz moments and for comic relief though

Hehe I'm not sure (coz they could've used Kanji instead).........but I'm not familiar with the Japanese language anyways.

Moving on though, this is the common hairstyle of Haruhi Suzumiya:

But I do like her more when she has longer hair:

If you've seen the movie ("Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya"), you would've seen that =)

Haha

If I had an MB A-class though (such as an A250 Sport), then I would want to put that kind of Itasha on it

With that said:
If I were to have an itasha car, I'd probably do something simple (nothing over the top). Oh and I'd only limit it to the roof, hood/bonnet, trunk/boot and the doors.

I would not put anything on the windows (because I value visibility and safety haha xD)

Something like this would suffice:

or

^^^Minus those company logos of course

And I must admit that that Marriage Royale itasha car is real sweet:

Haha yeah pretty much.

In my case, more or less, I love them as well.

Sure
Some itasha cars may be over the top for me..........but the rest are real neat. This is most especially true if the anime girls featured are really nice (i.e. Little Busters, Sakura Pet Kanojo, Madoka, etc.)

Btw, since Vocaloid characters have more of a closer relationship with the Toyota Group of Companies

They do seem like a proper match imho =)

I love these cars. I've been wanting to try this out but I don't know of any local shops that can print giant anime vinyls.

Concur. I would rather have this than plain color wrap.
