It has a tire pump in the trunk. Now that's something I don't see everyday.

I like that integrated gas cap / door idea. Is this a first?

I really like the shape of the front seats, not that that's a big deal but they look cool. The car itself is still a little too vanilla for my taste. I was hoping that it would be as striking as my GS F Sport but it seems to look cheesy with the optional aero/ground affects.

I saw it in a rental Lincoln MKZ already.

The seats in the TLX look SUPER comfy.

No the IS350 does not compete well with the current engine. That is one of the biggest gripes with the car. The lack of HP and torque for the segment.

Every other V6 in the class is pushing over 320HP:

Cadillac ATS - 321HP
BMW 335i - underrated at 300HP but pushes out WELL over 330HP
Audi S4 - pushes well over 330HP
Infiniti Q50 - 328HP in gasser and 360+ in the hybrid
Mercedes C400 - 329HP

So no, I am not pulling numbers out.

And while we are on the subject:

Base IS350 V6 = $40k
Base TLX V6 = $35k
Base Q50 V6 = $37k

Infiniti is giving more power than both and and price slotted in between.

The IS 350 with "only" 306hp is still extremely competitive with MPG and Acceleration. Not bad for an older engine with no boost. The new engine is around the corner. Let's not just base arguments on HP ratings.

What are you pissing on the IS 350 in a TLX thread?

The TLX is not really an IS competitor, its more of an ES competitor The last generation TL boasted it was the "most powerful acura ever forever ever" with 305hp. This new TLX has 290hp, down 15hp.

The 3rd gen TL Type S was the only Acura close enough to the IS/3/C segment. Every other TL was an ES competitor with a hind of pseudo-sport. The TLX is no different.

Numbers mean nothing!

The Camry V6 apparently has only 268HP; yet it goes like a rocket!

My 306HP IS350 eats every C-class and 3 series that I see, not that the average driver of one of those heap of junk ever dares to try me..

Also funny you mentioned C400 as here the C400 is ISF money! And guess who'd annihilate who in performance? That's right.

Yeah, using the Audi as an example. The S4 starts at $48.4k ($54.3 for the Prestige) and goes up quickly with options. For that big of price difference, there had better be some extra ponies involved.

A closer comparison is the A4 w/220hp (but nice flat torque curve with the turbo) which starts at $35.5k ($42.9 for Prestige). I would think the A4 will be cross shopped with the TLX much more that the S4.

Yep, my 7 year old IS350 just returned 30 MPG on a 1400 mile road trip and it can still take out 90% of cars on the road. Not bad for a car with almost 109k miles on it.

Not bad at all. I assume you can pass the 400 mile cruising range then?

The last few months I've been between 24.5-25.3 60/40 driving and 375-390 mile range.

I got to 295 cursing range in my 4GS after a 4 hour trip and thought hell froze over lol. I do about 90% city driving so I'm used to an average of 250 cruising miles.
