Good Thread... Silly question but the IS 350 and GS share the same engine? Specs?

I like the new IS more, and the size of both cars are very close.

Haha, you actually know what the MMC facelift of the 3GS will look like?

Anyways for me, between the two, the GS 3rd generation AUTOMATICALLY gets my vote:

This is a car that I would personally want to BUY and OWN.

Unfortunately though, that does not apply for the 3rd generation IS.

^^^
Seriously, how the hell did that get into final production?

Imagine that, everything else about the vehicle is either:
-Perfect or Awesome or Flawless or Stunning
-Nice
or
-Good or decent

And boom comes that HUGE *** gap in the front headlamps which imo is a general cluster******...

That alone makes me want to get a used or second hand 2IS IS300 (with 3GR-FE engine).........and skip this current 3IS altogether.

I just hope that the MMC facelift will fix this headlamp mess

/rant

I am assuming they will take best parts of 3IS F-Sport and incorporate it into 4GS F-Sport :-)

Mainly the front grille looking more like 3IS and LS.

How does the comfort of the driver's seat compare between the new IS and GS??

Excellent comparison pictures.
I always wanted to see them side by side like that

You can see the IS is definitely more aggressive looking.

To be honest I read how good the IS F sport seat was and its as good as they stated. It just conform to you. Its really good.

The GS has 16 way power to I think the IS 8/10 so there are more adjustments like side bolsters and leg extensions and twice as much lumbar support.

Awesome shots! Both the 3IS and 4GS designs are gorgeous!

Those graphite wheels on the 4GS are spectacular, they really make the 4GS pop! You should have gotten the graphite wheels on both cars .

So new IS F Sport seats are even better than the the 16 way GS seats? Impressive! It does seem so far reviews absolutely love the new IS seats, just like the 4GS seats. I heard the 16 way GS seats are very very good seats. What about the non-F Sport 18 way 4GS seats? I've heard those are absolutely superb, and it seems many reviews have praised those seats very highly.

Would you expect the 18 way seats to appear in the next-gen LS? Or could there be something more?

I would go with the GS. After seeing the 3is in person, I still dont like the front. The GS Fsport has caught my eye several times on the street already

What about the regular/base (non F-Sport, non-Luxury) seats on the GS350 and IS350? How do those compare and feel?

Dealer does not have all the possible seat combinations on the lot so it's kinda hard to judge at the moment..

I'm with you on this. 3GS for me. There is a reason why the GS350 F-sport JDM Version (black) is the COVER PHOTO that I'm using for my Facebook Profile.

With that said:
I also have a problem with the 3IS front end (see my rant post regarding that HUGE *** headlamp gap). Heck, I'd rather get an Infiniti Q50 anyday over a 3IS. In fact, I'd rather look for a used 2IS (IS300) over a 3IS.

it looked weird to me at first too, then I saw it in person....now I like it.

I'm proud of Lexus for the boldness of the design language in the 3IS, front to back. 4GS is bold too, but then it seemed like they wimped out when they got to the rear. And the fact that the rear of the 4GS concept was so awesome, it makes it even more of a letdown for me.

But maybe the 4GS refresh will bring cosmetic surgery for that azz.
