Not a surprising result. But I do love that ST, I'd get one and make a fun 1/4 mile car

2014 Ford Fiesta ST

2013 Scion FR-S

At the track, 86/BRZ/FR-S lost to Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Civic Si HRP, WRX, Mazdaspeed 3, Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-Spec, and I don't know how many others. But where it beats all others is:

GT86/FR-S sucks on the track in its stock form mainly because of its prius tires

ive heard that changing the tires and wider rims make for a huge difference on the track

Exactly. Egads Toyota/Subie stated from day one the car is about FUN FUN FUN, not the fastest track times. Thus it has non grippy tires so you can slide the car and reach limits at lower levels.

Surely with such a capable chassis they can get faster track times by adding more rubber and better rubber but it will change the character of the car. This happened to the TRD GT86 tested in Europe. It was grippier and faster but less fun..

FRS/GT86/BRZ for me please.
