Great job Blueprint and Diego!
The added bonus for me is, with your efforts and credibility in the community the complainers about this car are in a weak position
I started yapping a few months ago that the new IS did not make me happy in the way the 2006 model did and that I would be moving to the Infiniti scene and the general tone about the Q here was less than excited and the discussions slid too often to the new nomenclature instead of on the car.
I have been having a blast with my Q50 Hybrid S AWD and my family has never been happier with a new car.
My adult kids are particularly happy with the increased rear seat room over the IS.
My wife is into the general quiet, particularly in EV mode.
For me dusting folks at green lights or passing an 18 wheeler and noticing the car is getting past 90 quickly have been highlights.

Both cars have their pluses and minuses and are pretty evenly matched. The IS F-sport is the better drive by far and it really hit me last night. The Q50S is more relaxed and drives like an older Lexus in some respects.
I really like both cars, the drive of the IS F sport and the comfyness of the Q50S.
Funny how tables have turned.

^^^ You have way too many cars.
I originally didn't like the front end of the new Q but I take all of that back. The pictures make the car look so much better. I love it. That being said, as you said above, I would have a hard time taking one of the new ones over the old G37 for a daily driver when the leases are so cheap and for such a short period of time (24 months). Of course the new Q is much better.

Vossen Q50 def looks nice.
I passed by the Infiniti dealer yesterday, im sorry to say I wasnt impressed by the looks at all. Granted most of the cars are AWD with the smaller rims, but even the one with the 19s was very bland looking. Def a safe design.
The looks are very SIMILAR once u see the G37 and Q50 next to each other.
I think the IS will age a lot better and it looks great in base or Fsport trim.
This is what i saw mostly on the dealer lots, def needs some Vossen magic lol.

I make a lot of my living doing strategy
It is like this
Before people could buy a Q50 much of the discussion
Deteriorated to going after the new nomenclature
Granted Infiniti either held up access to the cars or was
Embargoing reviews so there was little data for us to car chat
About
With one of our top posters putting out both some supportive
Words and some jaw dropping mods in week one
I believe many of the folks who would post, "I agree the naming is
Dumb" will not because they respect Blueprint's opinion
And work
Now we can just get on to the weaknesses and good stuff
About the car
Plus there is the entertainment from how Infiniti botched the
Release, how they will manage the software updates what leaving the G37
On the market, etc..
I am jonesing for August and September data to see which
Cars people are not buyin to get the new Q and seat of the day G

I just can't believe some marketing guy over at Nissan Infiniti actually got paid to decide to change the nomenclature to "Q". Really ?
I think infiniti is at it's last strings here. It's last few moves. It's almost time for it's check mate.

They are FAR from closing shop for Infiniti. Nissan has deep pockets and they are going to invest for a long time. The G still does quite well in sales and if they make better cars, people will come. They are not Acura

If you play chess, checkmate happens when your opponent knocks you out and that ain't the case here
At this point they sell a decent number of what was the JX SUVs
The Q will sell. I am diggin mine
What was the G coupe/convertible is late in the cycle, let's see what we get next
The M is a dog and is getting a big refresh. I doubt it will turn the car into a leader but it should help it some. I don't hear that it is a bad machine, more that folks don't want to pay to see it in their driveway
The big QX SUV is a lot of vehicle at its price point vs an LX but I can't see a lot of volume
The EX and FX, I would concede defeat on these
They have a smaller car coming in Europe and maybe we will see it here
It seems like they have both a halo sports car and a big car in the works but you have to think 3 to 4 years to get either of these
If you want a great deal, they can throw you a G sedan. Hard to tell if they make money on that play but it should help with sales volume and keep the dealership service bays active and in the future create customers to up sell into the Q when their leases are up
They have been investing in a madly successful F1 franchise and they are using the Q launch to communicate the linkage between the Infiniti brand, car development and the F1 racing learnings. Does my car stick to the road so well because of Vettel, I can't say but it is a cool linkage
Ghosn brought the Audi guy over to rebuild the brand.
I am old enough to remember that Audi was in the dumper over the 5000 and now they are a star in the luxury space
I am not sure where he slotted in the Audii time line but he clearly can get things done

Those pics look nasty.
But I don't think either will age well.
BMW still has a cleaner design that will age well
