Seriously. Prius has been on sale since 2000, 1997 in Japan.
All this time, Honda has stubbornly stuck with just a partial hybrid system letting the word "hybrid" become pretty much synonymous with Toyota.
Of course, every other automaker made the same mistake with only Ford being the only one in the last few years to develop competition for Toyota.

It may have taken a while, but it's still a great hybrid and probably raises to the top of the list for many. The Prius may still be the kind of outright MPG, but the Accord, Camry, Hyundai, Fusion all give those that want a normal looking car and great MPG's something to buy. Of them all, I think this Accord is at the top. For me it looks the best and has great MPG numbers as well.

Pole Position
We'll wait and see, although Honda has never been one to overstate their EPA ratings. I, for one, have always easily beaten the EPA rating of my V6 Accord.

No one can argue with the numbers at all and the current Accord is a great offering. Its late but they haven't been pushing anything new for awhile now. 49 MPG city is super impressive

maybe this article is not correct, but it says:
anyway, point made, lots of fast hybrids!
Lexus claims 0-60 performance of 7.4 seconds for the 2013 RX Hybrid with all-wheel drive (7.8 seconds with front-wheel drive).

Wait, from where do you read that the Accord Hybrid does 0-60 in 7 seconds? I don't see this reported anywhere. If it's true, though, then the Accord Hybrid will be both more frugal and faster than the Camry Hybrid, which needs 7.6 seconds to get to 60. That would be quite impressive indeed.
