I don't see anything that would suggest this is a Lexus. It could be anything.

This could end up being the Lexus Hydrogen that has been confirmed for 2015.

Toyota to Debut Production Fuel Cell Vehicle at 2013 Tokyo Motor Show

Toyota’s hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle will make its debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show prior to going on sale as a 2015 model later next year.

While hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles haven’t exactly garnered a ton of favorable attention in recent years, Toyota is hoping to defy skeptics much like it did when the Japanese automaker first debuted the Prius hybrid. But it’ll be an uphill battle for Toyota, especially when Tesla CEO Elon Musk believes “fuel cells should be renamed ‘fool cells,’ they are so stupid.”

The automaker hasn’t revealed many details on its hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, other than the fact that it’ll be sold as a Lexus model in America and will be priced around $50,000. Toyota wants to stay competitive against the successful Tesla Model S, and estimates that it will go about 300 miles per fueling.

Toyota wants to stay competitive against the successful Tesla Model S
Then we want PERFORMANCE and EFFICIENCY. Not some dowdy FWD luxury eco box - which it's bound to be

Default Lexus CT small sedan for 2015

Japanese luxury brand to reveal compact Audi A3 sedan rival at Geneva 2015
Lexus will look to launch a new small sedan based on the CT200h hybrid. That’s the news from this week’s Paris Motor Show, where the Japanese luxury brand debuted its V8-powered Lexus RC F.

Speaking at the event overnight, global head of Lexus design, Tokuo Fukuichi, revealed that a compact sedan is something the company is "seriously considering".

"This is also a new product that … we consider about the possibility in the market. We have a chance to develop something like this," said Fukuichi, who is also the global design chief of Toyota and Scion.

When pressed about the existence of such a car, the notoriously cagey Japanese design guru virtually confirmed a concept car would preview the small sedan at the 2015 Geneva motor show in March.

"Yes. Wait till next year, at the Geneva motor show," he said with a wide grin, unable to contain his excitement.

While it’s likely that Lexus' new compact sedan concept will be based the current CT200h hatchback model, the production vehicle may not eventuate until the second generation CT hatch arrives in 2016.

Fukuichi-san wouldn't comment on what platform the new model will use, suggesting it could be an all-new architecture, but said that a number of engine types could be used.

"We need to think about the many possibilities [for drivetrains]. We have to think about environment. We try to think about hybrid engines, turbo engines too," he said.

As Lexus continues to slowly expand its range, it also has major plans to develop more high-performance 'F' models, but an Audi S3 sedan or Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG-rivalling CT F sedan is unlikely, even if Lexus drops a hard-charging turbo-petrol engine in it.

In September 2014, Lexus F chief engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi told motoring.com.au that a CT F was unlikely, as was an F-badged small car .

Whatever the outcome, expect a daring and edgy new design from Lexus at the Geneva motor show in March 2015.

The Japanese market (refreshed) HS250h looks far better than what we had

But it still has the bizarro interior.

True, but the L-Select helps make it less dreary

2010 was a weak year for Lexus. The RX also has a bizarre interior but sells well because its an RX. Lots of cheaper plastics there too, just like the HS

At the same time 2010 saw some good improvements to the lacking L-Finesse and and heir of change or the catalyst to the Lexus's we have now. IS, ES, LS had trim revisions, Gen 6 navigation with BTA debuted on MY2010's, LFA (Dec 2010). Of course non model related, Lexus was starting to go through Unintended Acceleration Cases and the Tsunami shortly after that so sales were weak yes.
