Default Cross-Country Auto Transport

I need to ship a car from Texas to DC. Looking for tips on avoiding scams, picking a reputable vendor, and any other success (or horror) stories that are relevant.

When I helped my parents ship their car from Florida to California, I used this site for research. It's at least a starting point. Keep in mind, there are many different ways cars are shipped, the most basic being covered vs. uncovered transport.

I used Enclosed Vehicle Transport a few years back. They were EXCELLENT, True professionals. No games, no hassles.

Have the seller send you lots of high-resolution pictures of the car from every angle.

List what is included with the car.

Most importantly, picture of the odometer to prevent any "joyride"
