Mansory Gives the S63 AMG 1,000PS and a Sinister Appearance
Click here to view more photos
The 577hp Mercedes S 63 AMG is not a car that needs more power, but if Brabus upgraded it to 838hp, Mansory felt obliged to up the ante and squeeze even more power from the 5.9-liter biturbo V8 engine.
The German tuner has released two performance upgrades for the S63 AMG that lift power to 800PS (789hp) and 1,000PS (986hp), respectively. The Mansory M800 power kit boost power to 800PS at 4,750 rpm and torque to 1,200Nm (885lb-ft) at 1,700-3,500 rpm. The increased output has an influence on performance, with the M800 S63 sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, 0.4 seconds quicker than the standard model.
The Mansory M1000 power kit is more extreme, delivering 1,000PS and 1,400Nm (1,032lb-ft) of torque at 1,500-3,500 rpm. The 0-100 km/h time drops to 3.2 seconds and top speed is limited to 300 km/h (186 mph). To get so much power from the V8 engine, Mansory’s kits feature new parts including connecting rods, big end bearings, crankshaft, bearing bushings, turbocharger, suction and compressor system, as well as newly conceived pipe fan manifolds.
The performance is reflected in the car’s looks, with the S63 AMG getting a sinister aero kit including an all-black exterior with redesigned front bumper integrating new LED DRLs, new rear bumper with air diffuser, new bonnet, new side skirts as well as carbon fiber components like the rear spoiler, mirror caps, front lip spoiler and rear apron.
The wider front wings also contribute to the meaner look, as do the one-piece 22-inch Multispoke alloy wheels shod with Vredestein tyres in size 255/30/ZR22 on the front axle and 295/25/ZR22 on the rear axle. Inside, the Mansory S63 gets a newly designed steering wheel, aluminum pedals, leather foot mats, illuminated door sill trims and more.

Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman set for 2015 Geneva Motor Show reveal
Will be 6.4 meters long
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman is expected to make a world premiere in March at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
According to Motor Trend, the Pullman will be even more luxurious and longer than the recently introduced Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and will be offered in an S600 variant. While the Maybach is 5453mm long, the Pullman is expected to have an overall length of 6400 meters and will probably be built by Brabus.
Although in the most recent spy shots the Pullman prototype had door handles for where you would expect the middle doors to be positioned, those were probably fake and the production-spec car will have only four doors.
Unlikely to arrive in United States, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman will be powered exclusively by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 530 HP (390 kW) and a peak torque of 830 Nm (612 lb-ft). It should be mentioned that S-Class development director Dr Hermann-Joseph Storp has already said there won't be any AMG versions of the Maybach-branded models.
There will also be an armored Pullman version in 2016 which will have an estimated curb weight of 11,684 lbs (5,300 kg) and a hefty $1 million price tag.

New Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Oozes of Opulence [55 Pics & Videos]
Click here to view more photos
Maybach as a brand is dead, but Mercedes-Benz has resurrected the badge as an über luxury nameplate for its extra-long S-Class that will be revealed almost simultaneously at the Los Angeles and Guangzhou auto shows.
At 5,453 mm (214.7 in) long and with a wheelbase of 3,365 mm (132.5 in), Mercedes-Benz' new flagship sedan is a big car – 200mm (7.9 in) larger in both dimensions than the existing long wheelbase S-Class.
As you'd expect from a car bearing the Maybach nameplate, all that extra length benefits the rear passengers who also get unique individual seats and other exclusive details ranging from the Maybach-branded perfume AGARWOOD to silver-plated, handcrafted champagne flutes and a voice amplification function that "much easier for occupants in the front to communicate with the rear passengers". Not that you really need the last function as Mercedes says the Maybach S-Class is the world's quietest production saloon.
Mercedes will launch the flagship limo in February 2015 in two models, the S500 powered by a 449hp(445PS) and 700Nm 4.7-liter bi-turbo V8 that returns a respectable 8.9 lt/100 km (26.4mpg US), and the range-topping S600 with a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 523hp (530PS) and 830Nm. Both models are RWD, but in July of the same year, the S500 will get an all-wheel drive 4MATIC edition.
Ola Källenius, member of the Divisional Board of Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for sales commented: "As an addition to the portfolio of S-Class saloons, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sets new standards in the luxury segment. The vehicle satisfies the very highest requirements in terms of exclusivity appointments and comfort."

Mercedes-Maybach S-Class officially unveiled at Los Angeles Auto Show
Stretched by 200mm
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is making its world debut today at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Daimler is resurrecting the “Maybach” nameplate with a range-topping edition of the S-Class which has grown in size by 200mm to 5453mm, with all of the added length going into the wheelbase that now measures 3365mm. It can be visually distinguished on the outside by subtle modifications to the front grille along with “Maybach” badging & lettering as well as 66mm shorter rear doors to make room for the third side window which has been relocated into the C pillar.
As expected, most of the changes have occurred on the inside where the rear passengers get to enjoy the additional legroom and standard executive rear seats featuring backrests which are adjusted separately while the footwell and seat reference point remain unchanged. In addition, the cushion can also be adjusted individually (inclination and horizontal).
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class promises to be the “quietest car in the world” thanks to special seals optimizing the noise insulation along with the installation of additional sound deadening material.
At first it will be sold in the S600 variant with a twin-turbo V12 6.0-liter developing 530 HP (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft). There’s also going to be an S500 with a bi-turbo V8 4.7-liter engine developing 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Eventually, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will get an S400 4MATIC variant with a V6 3.0-liter motor with 333 HP (245 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) sent to an all-wheel drive system.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is scheduled to go on sale in February 2015.

Beautiful. This should give Bentley and Rolls fits.
Oh wow I didn't realize they were going to put smaller engines in the Mercedes-Maybach.. not sure how I feel about that

For USA yes, but not necessary Europe and elsewhere. Lots of low power luxury barge I saw in those places. They know their market and will not offer them if there is low demand for such models.

They should allow special builds and deliveries then if the options are there, assuming it will be compliant with local law. People have the means, caters to those once thought out of market, boosts brand awareness, gives ownership more meaning and emotion driving loyalty

It is ok for a stripped down barebone S350 taxi cab to have a V6 or even a 4-bangers, but a suppose to be opulent Maybach badge limousine that suppose to be RR and Bentley competitor must have at least 8 cylinders.
A V6 Maybach is like a V6 RR/Bentley or a Corolla having a V12, totoally out of place.

But Maybach is another level............
Is like is ok for Maserati to have a cheap V6, but Ferrari can't sell anything cheap that have less then 8 cylinders..........they did it once and never again, probably realized it is a mistake.

If you build them they will come.
Who are we to judge Mercedes? They obviously see a market for small engine luxury cars, if it doesn't sell they'll drop it if does they'll make more no need to get upset...
Lets remember, Mercedes is not in the automotive business they are in the MONEY making business they just happen to build cars.
