and i think you are missing my point. able to see through the rear camera is one thing, but not able to push open the lid and the camera stuck inside trying to push, even if there is a fail safe, it's extra wear and tear. this is compared to a stationary camera

New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Priced from $119,900* in the US
Mercedes-Benz will launch the luxurious S-Class Coupe in the United States in mid-October, with prices starting from $119,900 for the S550 4Matic Coupe.
That’s the cheapest entry ticket to the S-Class Coupe in the US, as AMG models are significantly more expensive. The S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe will be priced from $160,900, while the rear-wheel drive V12-powered S65 AMG Coupe will have a whopping $230,900 starting price when it arrives in the US in December – almost double the starting price of the standard S550 4Matic Coupe. All prices exclude a $925 destination and delivery fee.
The base S550 4Matic Coupe is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 455 hp and 516lb-ft (700Nm) of torque, which allows it to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds.
The S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe gets a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine that unleashes 577hp and 663 lb-ft (900Nm) of torque, making it the fastest-accelerating model in the S-Class Coupe lineup, with a 0 to 62 mph sprint of just 3.9 seconds.
Finally, the range-topping S65 AMG Coupe is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 biturbo powerplant producing 621 hp and 738lb-ft (1,000Nm) of torque. The only model not offered with the 4Matic all-wheel drive system, the S65 AMG Coupe sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe features more than 30 standard and optional active and passive safety technologies reunited under the Intelligent Drive name. The available Driver Assistance Package includes systems like Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Pre-Safe Brake, Pre-Safe Plus, BAS Plus with Cross Traffic Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Protection, Attention Assist and Night View Assist Plus.
