Acura ILX

Pole Position
ILX concept had more extended back while production trim is cut off, thats what feels weird when looking at production photos.
UPDATE
Hah they changed the picture from silver ILX Concept to blue ILX Production but left the same extended back. Stupid Keyshot software.

The production RDX is out now, and looks no better. The front end is sadly, similarly cheap looking.

I don't know what else to say about Acura at this point other than "lost cause."

i like the exterior, and interior is ok (yes mike, wheel gap is ridonculous), but the drivetrain specs are weak.
if this replaces the tsx it's pretty sad.

Buick Verano at best. Even that thing will soon have a turbo engine AND a 6-speed manual. BUICK!?!

This needs a set of 18s(standard not even as an option I think 225/45/18 tires) a direct injected engine and 6-speed auto or even dual clutch to be taken seriously. I think it's sad when the ILX seems to be out done by a Buick.

So they took the front of the TSX (with some last gen TL cues) and the back of the ZDX and merged the two?
The interior looks pretty darn good imo. A bit narrow (the spacing between the vents on the passenger side is small and it looks squished on the driver's side with the tach and speedo fairly close to each other). The seat and dashboard design look good to me though the red ENGINE START STOP button seems a bit out of place of an entry luxury vehicle (even if it does have sporty pretensions).
It's also a "ceiling" mounted accelerator pedal vs. the floor-mounted unit in the current CSX.
The powertrain choices seems a bit of a mish-mash - Do you want your ILX with TSX, CSX/Civic or Civic Hybrid powertrains? The backseat does look a bit cosy (judging by the length of the base of the rear door but of course I won't know for sure until I sit in it)

I guess just take the CSX's competitors.... Mazda3 2.5 GT, Golf, A3 FWD, 1 Series, CT200h just off the top of my head based on Canadian dollars.
