GS 450H or IS 350
I'm in need of advice. I'm deciding on a GS 450h with 80k-95k range or an IS350 with 60k-75k range as far as miles on it. I need advice on pros and cons of each scenerio. i would appreciate your feed back. Thanks!

There is even one 2007 GS 450h wiith 102,000 miles on it that looks pretty clean and well maintained. Any news on these cars at high milage? I think the price is like $18000 on it.

I think we need to know a bit more about what you want out of the car before we can give you useful opinions. Hoovey2411 already mentioned the trunk space volume - the first GS450h was actually really bad in that regard (IIRC less than 10 cubic feet); the IS350 will have far more trunk space. The IS will be significantly lighter so should be a more interesting drive in the corners. On the flip side, the GS will make more horsepower and should be faster in a straight line while likely having better mpg (especially in city driving), and also have much more rear leg room.
To me, these are pretty different cars, so again it depends what you're looking for.

I'm willing to put up with the deficiencies of both vehicles. I should have been a little more specific . I want a GS 450h however is it worth buying with such high mileage as fas as a reliability and longevity stand point or is it better to just step down in class and take the IS350 with roughly 20 something thousand less miles on it? I do realize these cars are different though.

Get the IS. A high mileage hybrid without a warranty could present some extremely expensive problems. Hybrid tech still isn't proven enough to say how long it will, or won't, last IMO.

If that is a big concern the IS all the way. Both handle decent, both have steering feel that could be better, both look great all these years, offer great acceleration, good MPG and have proven pretty reliable.
Good luck

I would get the GS 450h only if you are not going to drive tons and it is under warranty. Lexus has been good with "goodwill" battery replacements past 100k but its a chance and depends on the car's history, your history, the dealer etc. If you want to take that chance to me the GS is the car to take here.

1. One HID bulb went out, upgraded bulbs
2. Rattle on the passenger door, Lexus installed a new window switch which was causing the issue under warranty.
The big one was this and this is the first time I'm posting about it. Around 105k miles all the lights lit up inside like an X-mas tree, car was still drivable but the hybrid component was not working. Took it in to my dealer at they do a diagnostic check and basically the battery was kaput, done and the inverter. Now I have an exceptional relationship with Hennessy Lexus of Gwinnett so they gave me a loaner and told me they were going to try to get it covered under warranty.
I get a phone call the next day to not worry about a thing, Lexus was going to cover the repairs 100% and expedite it. So they overnighted the components from California (a 300 lbs battery!!!) and I got my car in 2 days. It was quite stunning to say the least. I saw the bill and it was 7k total.
The first thing the service director told me was Lexus checks for the cars service records and mine were serviced at the dealer so they saw that I did keep the car in top shape. It also helps that Lexus is aware of my "efforts" as a brand ambassador.
Right now it has 127k miles and no issues since then, drives flawlessly. Its my first hybrid and I really love it, its very quiet, the extra power is awesome, its rare and its been a great ownership experience. My next car likely won't be a hybrid but I am very very happy with the GS 450h.

Just letting you guys know that I bought the GS 450h. Black on black. I bought it 2 days ago. I'm loving it so far. I just can't believe this car does not have an aux jack. My 2007 Mercedes E550 had an aux jack. This is ridiculous!!

Lol! No it's not a 2013. I bought an 07. I was looking for something to pay cash for and didn't want a car note. At least for right now. I was leaning towards an IS 350 and stumbled up on a deal on a 450h that I couldn't pass up and I'm glad I made that decision. Loving the car so far. Just don't like the missing aux. I'll probably just have the iPod integration kit installed.
