Pathfinder was slated to get more soft, which is why Nissan still has the XTerra. Similarly the Highlander is soft and the 4Runner will remain more rugged
As long as the 4Runner remains a true off-roader with body on frame design, I'll always be a fan. Whats the possibility that Toyota offers a diesel this time... I know, I know...

Couldn't agree more. I'd love to see some sort of luxury version with slightly less cheap looking appointments...And i'd love a V8 option, but that's just me.
