I'll give it this. Despite It is hideously rugged, it will still inherently be a good and reliable off-roading vehicle

interior is upgraded via small touches everywhere, from colors to materials, to seats, to instruments... all together it looks nicer... also keeps that rugged look too.

Sorry not a fan. Interior seems better.

To Toyota's credit they didn't turn the 4-Runner into a *****mobile like Nissan did with the MALLFINDER and stayed true to its roots.

What's with these gimmicky styling on cars nowadays? They try to make the front ends more aggressive, but it just looks more rice.

This feature is what annoys me the most:

Agreed. That's where it failed. It's purposely an off-road SUV, not a sports car. They splurged stealing the wrong category.

Not great, but a huge improvement over the current model. The 2009 is still a cleaner design though.

It's not that bad, but the front end is too agressive for the rest of the car. Lots of flat metal on the sides and a boring rear. Same criticism of the GS. Toyota needs to realize that agressive design doesn't stop after the front quarter panels.

Hehe perhaps

But with the GS, at the very least, it turned out to be quite well.

In the case of this 4RUNNER, the new front grille is simply EPIC FAIL
