you realize s6 is kind of against 550i and e550, not m5 and e63?

YEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!

If a garden variety GS350 F-Sport can keep up with a BMW M5 in the slalom, BMW better pray Lexus screws up the GS-F or its going to look ugly for the M5 when the magazine comparison tests come out.

Doesn't stop the mags from comparing it against the M5 and E63, and beating those. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...omparison-test

Let me be the first to call it: Lexus will put 460hp in the new GS-F. It will win the handling contest but loose the 0-60 race by a hair.

Finally, they can fill the rest of the room in the MY13 GS350 engine bay... There is plenty of it..!!

I guessing a pumped up version of the 2UR-GSE / IS-F motor... Approx 450-460 BHP
(just saying)

Right... Lexus needs to win the show. They need to bolster the "image" of a performance brand. Being down on HP to the M5 and E AMG won't help that. Lexus needs to turn heads with the GSF and make people take notice. It needs to beat the M5 at its own game and make people drool It needs to make people to WANT and ASPIRE to own it.

IMO the V8 should have been offered in the GS at launch with ~400HP ... And GSF should be ~500hp. Lexus is very behind in engine choices compared to others. The 5 series has FOUR engine choices. 528, 535, 550, M5.

Glad to see confirmation of the GS-F, and now I will glad throw that in the face of one dunce(A Lexus troll-Thomas) who claimed it would never happen and it was mere speculation.

LFA and GS F Sport has proved that you don't need 'brute force' to provide good performance and driving experience.

The GS beat the 5 series in 10 comparisons already.

im just happy its coming, it wouldn't surprise me if they make it a high performance hybrid with less 500hp vs M45, 550i and XF v8 version

Lexus won't get sucked into a hp war pissing contest (Blueprint has been saying a very accurate number). They will "bolster" an image if and when they actually make a GS-"F". Building a GS-F will turn heads not is hp. Tesla S and Audi S6 already beat the M5 at it's own game. Again if and when Lexus builds the GS-F people will "WANT" and "ASPIRE" to own it regardless of hp.

I don't argue that a V8 should have been initially offered at launch. Actually The 5-Series has 5 engine choices, the fifth being the ActiveHybrid 5.

They should try to lose more weight, then 460hp would not be so bad. I'm more interested in pricing. Hopefully it won't follow the LFA, become an outstanding car, but too expensive to buy.
