A couple of months ago, before the new 6 hit the market, some dealerships a had a unit on the sales floor, not for sale, for people to look at. The interior on the Grand Touring model that I looked at had a nice interior including contrast stitching on the leather surfaces. It seemed nice/competitive for the segment.

Seems they start around 23k and 30k loaded but only one engine, a 4 cylinder. I think its a really nice car and going to check it out.

Great job Mazda!
Damn, that's sexy

Thumbs up

Looks good.......it has nice RWD proportions - long hood, short rear - for a FWD car.

Any more pics?

I love this new generation...such a beautiful design, and even better when lowered with a nice set of wheels!

Those rims really enhance the car. Tell us your impressions when you get to check it out.

of course, once you start probing and touching inside, it is not that great but overall it is nice... better interior quality than more expensive CX-5 for instance.
I test drove the new Mazda 6 and these are exactly my same thoughts as well.

a set of wheels and a drop will do wonders for pretty much everything, BUT this example looks especially good. I think Mazda will sell a ton of these

As much as I loved the looks of the old one, this new 6 looks really nice. It's got a higher end look to it and the wheels look awesome.

The look of the mazda 6 was never the problem. The problem is everything else, from the poor driving characteristics to the lack of power, to the not so awesome MPGs,etc. Always been the case with Mazda products.

Mazda's are traditionally the BMW of Nissan, Honda, and Toyota..

they pushed the windshield and A-pillars back 2 inches. That's why it has that look.
your head is pretty much inches away from the windshield.
I think it feels a tad claustrophobic.

the front overhang is still long like other fwd cars.

I've always had an affinity for Mazda's. A very underated car company. I like how they always put a dose of sports car in everything they build. I've owned an FC RX-7 and my Brother-inlaw a Miata, both very fun and capable machines. I respect Mazda's philosophy and their grassroots. I'm loving this new 6, a perfect platform to bring back the AWD Turbo MazdaSpeed6 beast. Hope they bring the rotary back in some shape or form.
