Once again, another Festival of Speed has come to an end. Ferrari fans will have numerous memoirs on which to reflect before next year's event kicks off. Many stunning Ferraris, both classic and modern, were on display this year, turning a lot of fascinated heads. The Prancing Horse's enthusiasts were excited to see so many of the current range cars, not least witnessing the UK debut of both the California T and the 458 Speciale. Not one, but two fantastic LaFerrari's were on display for the first time in the UK, together with a very special one-off car from the company's Special Projects division.

LaFerrari already showing fire prone signs? [video]
Participated at the Trento-Bondone Hill Climb in Italy
One of the 499 LaFerraris participated recently in Italy at the Trento-Bondone Hill Climb and apparently suffered some minor damages after getting too hot.
In recent years, Ferraris have developed a bad habit of catching fire and it seems the tradition lives on with the LaFerrari. In the attached video you can see the car leaving a trail of worrying smoke behind it and there's also a photograph posted on Instagram showing the car suffered minor damages to its rear bumper probably related to overheating issues in the engine department. Those who attended the 64th edition of the Trento-Bondone Hill Climb in Italy say there were some suspicious flames coming out of the LaFerrari's rear.
As a reminder, last week a red LaFerrari was damaged after hitting a sixth generation Volkswagen Golf near the Monte Carlo Country Club and these are not the only two incidents involving Maranello's latest flagship since back in November one car was rear-ended by a truck while a few months earlier a prototype went off-road at Fiorano after a brake failure.

Yesterday was a very special day in Maranello as one of the great Ferrari collectors, John Hunt, arrived to take delivery of his new LaFerrari in style, having driven all the way from London to Modena with his two children and a group of friends in a GTO, an F40, an F50 and an Enzo, cars that tell the entire story of the Prancing Horse's passion for limited edition special series cars.

LaFerrari buyers willing to pay 1.25M EUR extra to get their cars earlier – report
Limited to 499 units
Impatient future Ferrari LaFerrari owners are willing to spend a hefty 1.25M EUR ($1.67M) more than the car’s price just to get it delivered faster.
Motoring Research reports on Oracle Finance inquiry that shows that LaFerrari buyers are the most eager among all supercar customers. They are followed by McLaren P1 clients, who are ready to spend 377,000 EUR ($504,000) extra. Porsche 918 Spyder comes third with 250,000 EUR ($335,000) premium.
Oracle Finance managing director Peter Brook comments that “it’s a buying frenzy out there at the moment for Ferraris and nothing demonstrates that like the million-pound premiums we’re seeing for the LaFerrari. When you look at the prices of the Enzo, the exclusive hypercar that went before it, that has doubled in recent years from the £400,000 list price to close to £1m now. But despite that rise even we were shocked at the premium buyers are prepared to pay for the LaFerrari”.

Performance is amazing but the more I see pics and vids of this car the more I think it is a ugly design, especially from the front, rear looks pretty good. Maybe it is just one of those cars you have to see in person. I think the 918 is far better looking, P1 is better looking too.
