^^Much better. Even though I am still not a fan of the front end, I can deal with the Chrysler 300 face on the Grand Cherokee ALOT more than the pics from the OP. Upon further investigation,, looks like the pics from the first frame MAY be that of the LIBERTY!!!

Grand Cherokees have improved enormously in the last couple of years. IMO, it is now one of the nicest American-badged SUVs on the market, although we still don't really know how its long-term durability is going to do. Previous Grand Cherokees had a lot of problems with their drivetrains/differentials as they aged.

Had a 96' Grand Cherokee in a dark cherry purple. Loved that ute. It had tranny problems up the wazoo, but still loved it when she was drivable

How can they get the Grand Cherokee almost exactly right, and fail so utterly on its little brother?

Definitely thought of the Juke and the '13 IS with those two piece headlights. At least this Jeep still has the Jeep staples, like the distinctive grille, but it definitely stands out from the other, very similar looking, models.

The Liberty nameplate isn't returning. Chrysler actually sold the liberty as the Cherokee in other markets, and Chrysler has already released statements saying that this is the Cherokee. I don't know why people are getting so choked up over the name when the 4 door hardtop Wrangler exists. Jeep actually needs to sell some cars, so vehicles like this are necessary to sell globally.
