It looks good to me. It looks like a G8 on steroids.

Export to America........from Australia

Anyways, I'd take this over Dodge Charger anyday.

Hopefully, they can export this vehicle not just into New Zealand or North America or Middle East......but also to Africa and South East Asia.

I think this will do well here in the Philippines. =)

I like how the speedometer and tach are very reminiscient of the 70's-80's gauges, but with a more modern touch.

But I do agree with the others that the Charger is much more interesting.

Don't know if it's available with a manual, but if not, that would be a deal breaker IMO.

Front end looks way too much like a generation or two old MALIBU. Ick, but other than that I like it and will seriously consider one, mainly for what it is. I've always wanted a RWD LS V8 powered car, and came very very close to pulling the trigger on a G8 GT before Pontiac folded.

G8 never failed, it was a nice car with a lot to offer, a great bang for your buck but at that time everyone was worried about buying a Pontiac when GM was gonna close them down or possible go bankrupt

I'm curious how much the new SS is gonna cost. I really liked the GTO and was very disappointed when it was discontinued. If priced right, this may be my next car.

I believe it's rumored to start at around 40k.

My thoughts exactly. They needed to inject some Corvette/Camaro type of aggression into the SS to significantly differentiate it from the Impala.

I don't see how anyone could mix the two up

SS looks more like a Malibu than the Impala.

Not to take anything away from the SS, but, before saying that, have you had a chance, there, in the Phillipines, to actually see the newer Chargers? Trust me......they are not the same overly-plastic, poorly-finished, bean-counter cars they were just a couple of years ago. The recent redesign has made an enormous difference.

Looks better than the new Impala turd at least. I can't wait to see GM advertise this thing as American as Apple Pie when it's built in a foreign country. Typical GM.

It does look Malibu-ish, but the Styling isn't that bad, Not bad for an American car. I'm glad GM has show some ***** these days - they should atleast get some credit rather than being hated on - I know this is a Lexus forum but I applaud GM for bringing out some American Muscle to the table in the sedan market and I'm proud of that, its an "American product" in a sea of mostly all foreign sedans.. I know, V8's isn't a popular choice on the market's buying list but the fact this car has ties with NASCAR will help it sell.

I think this will end up much like the ES and GS: two cars that are similar in size and features, one is a relaxed FWD cruiser and one is a RWD sport sedan, with a $13k+ price difference between the two.

Sporty looks good in advertising, but people aren't willing to pay $13k more for "sporty" when the cars are the same size and similarly featured. My point is that the SS will already have the Impala going against it (once again, think GS vs. ES), so more aggressive styling would have helped to drive home it's sporty intentions. Right now, it looks like a generic 1998 MY family sedan that's kitted up with rims.
