The initial 09' 480 hp GTR was only running 10 psi. That motor would make an unstressed 600 hp on 15 psi. The 550 hp on the 2013 is still detuned.........there is always next year, 570 hp?

And that motor still do not have direct injection and variable valve timing on the exhaust side, add those and run 22 psi like the M5 and boom.............700 hp easy.

Nissan sure is milking this.

The weak tranny is the limitation though. Power is cheap, tranny cost A LOT.

2012 was ok, at least it already got a lot of updates and upgrades.............funny I used "was" for a 2012.

I feel bad for 2009 owners............

Then again some people got cash to blow, so it is never a problem, trading a car just takes 20 mins...........IF you got the cash

I love watching this drama unfold.............I want to see how high Nissan will and can push, 2015 GTR coming stock with 650 hp and 750 hp with a chip and exhaust?

Bone stock 10 seconds car is just insane I wonder when we will have bone stock 9 seconds car for under $100k! (Veyron SS is already 9s, but is $3M)

Am I the only one here who is not impressed?

Give me a call when 0-60 times are measured in a trillionth of a nanosecond. Now THAT is impressive!

Haha good heavens. It's simply Porsche and Nissan exchanging blows with each other (like Lambo versus Ferrari).

Anyways

Hehe good point but some say that it's not the destination that's important.......but rather, it's the journey in itself that is the only thing that matters

well when 2012 was announced, some people paid TOP money and more for the first car off the lot. prices was high for a short while. then rumors on 2013 came out and prices started to fall quite impressively. yeah, those should feel the pain

I would have to say getting a car that weighs almost 2 tons to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds is a technological feat . no other way to look at it

Yes the 12' was very desirable due to the bunch of factory upgrades, combining with the very low supply since the tsunami wiped out 2300 Nissan inventories:

Then some 12' GTRs got contaminated with radiation:

High desirability + very low supply = TOP money for existing inventories.

Yes now supply are turn back on and people realized Nissan is not stopping the upgrade = prices fall quickly
