Exclamation Mr. Bean selling his twice crashed McLAREN F1 for £8 million !!!!!!

Rowan Atkinson, the British actor most notably known as bumbling fool Mr. Bean, got his beloved McLaren F1 back 16 months after he crashed it.

Atkinson’s insurance company spent £910,000, or roughly $1.5 million in Canadian dollars, in repairs, The Daily Telegraph reports. When he got it back from McLaren technicians earlier this month, he said it was “like putting on a familiar sweater.”

Rowan be careful this time.

I am sure lots of carbon cracked, pretty much replaced everything.

The car worth like $4.0 mil, so is still not a total lost.

He'll probably be a bit more careful this time around hah. Glad he got it back though. I remember getting my car back after a deer incident. Three weeks of a Dodge Caliber and Chevy Cobalt had me almost in tears when I got her back

Good thing his insurance policy covered the full cost of repair and not totaled it. I wonder how much he's paying per year for this level of coverage (not to mention the kind of premium increase he'll be getting after this incident).

I'd spend it if I had it. This is my all time favorite car. Next to the Ford GT.

To echo many other comments on other forums, at least he's driving it and not collecting dust.

And that's what insurance is for

Agreed. Much of what is shown in movie driving-scenes (just like with many other movie-scenes) is an insult to one's intelligence.

Actually he's one hell of a driver if you read about him, I think he had the fastest lap time on Top Gear.
