That's it???? That looks like its so much more quiet and refined compared to one of those 4 door Jeep Wranglers. Looks like you get a better back seat and A LOT more cargo room than the Jeep as well. Plus 30k is cheap for a 4 door Wrangler, you get just the base Sport trim for 30k, no hardtop, no big knobby tire option, no Dana 44 axle option for that price.

I don't like the Wrangler.
They are very capable rigs but i find the build quality to be very poor. I would never own one, there is just something about the way they look and feel that really makes them feel cheap and tacky. I also hear they are very unreliable.
The UN loves the 70 series pickups/wagons They are also very popular in the Middle East, Africa and Australia and other parts of the world. I don't think Jeeps sell very well overseas. These Cruisers are simple, reliable and very capable. Spare parts are widely available as well.
The 70 series LC comes out of the same factory as the LX 570/LC200 ( Yoshiwara Plant ). They do make the 200/LX at the Tahara Plant as well.

I love watching dessert videos of these things climb mountains of sand. They are some of the toughest and most reliable vehicles on the planet! I also love the Nissan Patrol very much. I really wish they would bring the good stuff to the states Although, when I was in Kuwait, I rarely saw this LC running around. They sure are awesome though!

The design of this vehicle is 30+ years old..it has been refreshed since, with chassis/drivetrain, interior and body updates but its not supposed to be modern and refined. Its reliable, capable and very durable and it does really well at what it was designed for.
Its vehicles like this that gave Toyota its reputation for being super reliable and tough.
Here is the crash test. It got 3 stars. ( Pickup version )
For comparison purposes, here is the Nissan Patrol pickup crash test

There's a one door version of it too, which I like.

Arabic website, but you can see the year models.
Available in White and Beige only, and I heard the Beige is cheaper. They cost around $35k or more, it should have been less but anything "classic" is in demand in the gulf. lol
EDIT: I'm talking about the ones in my post. Not sure about OP.

In Saudi Arabia demand for the 70 series ( specifically 1 door and the pickup ) is very high. Prices do differ though, generally the most wanted models cost more. The 4 door shown in this thread is not as popular in the Gulf as it is in Africa and Australia for example as people tend to go for the 150 Prado or the LC200 when thinking about a 4 door LC in the GCC, which is why they could be cheaper in some areas.
The LC in general has very good sales overseas.
