Yes,the cost cutting really shows in a new ES interior.I haven't seen the Avalon interior up close yet.

As far as the Camry goes,the V6 option is the only thing I like about it.The design is awful.

Not surprising. Almost everything today, by the standards of the past, can be considered "harsh". Even the latest versions of cars like the new ES350, Cadillac XTS flagship, and Toyota Avalon thump and bump noticeably more over road-iregularities than their predecessors did. It is simply the result of the auto industry's headlong mad rush to sportiness and abandonment of ride-comfort.....even in non-sporting cars. It's gotten to the point where even some auto-enthuisiast publications are saying that things have gone too far.
