You're welcome. Oddly enough I asked my manager yesterday if he'd heard of anything in the pipeline and the biggest thing this year will be the 3IS launch, but the full spindle grill on the GX, GS and CT is a major possibility as well as an 8A in the GS

Hopefully it helps the front end like it did the rx and lx

The heavy barn door was a big issue for us, and also the third row seats that had to be taken in and out when not using them. (We may have used them once or twice) We had the oppty to get a new generation GX460 as a loaner, but that also had some of the same issues we were unhappy with. On the bright side our GX was a very smooth ride and probably would have lasted many more years. The RX is a definite downsize for us, but even though I don't have the third row and it is a little smaller, I like the overall comfort and cockpit of this new vehicle, and of course, the gas mileage. (Averaging 28mpg vs. 16 mpg)

i really like these Lx/Gx suvs.. don't care if they sell 5 of them in a year i will still buy and if they stop making them i will hold on to the old ones as much i can ..because in my opinion nothing compares everyone is going uni-body.. Thank you for the great review.

With the refresh of the GX with the full spindle grill it's been quite a success. Most likely the 3GX will debut in either 2017/2018. So far sales of the 2GX:

2010 - 16,450
2011 - 11,609
2012 - 11,039
2013 - 12,136
2014 - 22,685
2015 (YTD - Jan- Nov) - 22,094

I'm projecting that Lexus will sell over 24K GX 460's for 2015. 2016 should also be a good year as well.

I'm very happy with my GX 460 but of course Lexus could always improve. I do like the barn door except is opens the wrong way. It should open to the left.

I like this truck very much also. It is not a vehicle to live with in the downtown of a major city. But, living in suburban like me, i feel so good with it.

The beautiful paint really shows deep and rich color that a luxury vehicle should have during the day, the bright and pure LED headlights put other vehicles into shame at night. Just wish everyone else to drive a crossover/ car.

BTW, what happened to the original writer of this post? He was a good contributor to this forum.

it's still nuts that if you want radar cruise it's going to be $65K+ and it still only has the 6 speed auto and lousy fuel economy. it is, however, a comfortable and smooth ride with a great 4wd system.

The refresh looks great. But I'm hoping for a wider 3GX.
