Kevin,
If I had to pick only one my favorite would be my 1962 Fuel Injected Corvette w/2 Tops, 4 speed and a 4.56 rear. I liked it's looks and It was Very Fast back in it's Day. But It's like night & day compared to today's Corvette.

My least favorite would be my 1980 Oldsmobile Diesel wagon, It was not a true Diesel as we know them. It was more like a converted Gas Eng. I had to rebuild the Eng. the heads went a short time after a bought it
.
I never had more than 3 cars at one time, and most of the time I had 3.
I have 2 right now, I sold my 2010 Camaro waiting for my new C7 then I will have 3 again.
Thanks for your interest ,
Joe

I do not think they have any C7's left to sell for the first 6-9months which ends March 31,2014.
I wanted to get the C7 before Nov.2013, so I picked the Dealer with largest allotment. I did not mind paying MSRP to have the car in the first two months of release.

If when the 2015's come to dealers and IF they have 2014,s left you will get a few K off . I don't think they will get stuck with many 2014's
Yes, true. There won't be much choice if I go with leftover car, but that's how to get a few thousands off MSRP. I heard that the waiting list is up to April now.

Default 2014 Corvette Stingray’s Z51 Package Will Use SANLUIS Rassini Composite Rotors

When a car goes from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, being able to stop it in the right time is crucial. So it’s no wonder why high-performance sports cars like the new-generation Corvette come with braking systems specially designed to fit their needs.

The new Stingray will come with a set of high-performance brakes developed by Sanluis Rassini. This new system uses the industry’s first rotor with a ductile iron hat and gray iron brake plates. This combination allows for a weight saving of about 18 percent and it improves the braking system’s heat-management capabilities.

This special rotor uses an I-Beam extension design, and not a solid one like the majority of the brake systems. It is also the only composite rotor on the market that can accommodate a drum in hat, a rotor design in which the internal surface of the hat serves as a brake drum.

This new brake system will be part of the new Z51 Performance Package set to be put on sale this summer.

Default Corvette Stingray will go 0-60 in 3.8 seconds on its way to a 12-sec quarter-mile

Official: New Corvette Stingray turns 12 second quarter-mile

http://www.autoweek.com/article/2013...mpaign=awAlert

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray with an available performance package has been rated as the best performing standard Corvette to date.

The 2014 Vette with the performance-exhaust system can make the 0-60 sprint in 3.8 seconds. Braking from 60-0 mph takes just 107 feet, and the Stingray can sustain 1.03g in cornering.

A Corvette with the performance and magnetic ride-control package lapped the 4.2-mile Virginia International Raceway Grand Concourse in 2 minutes, 51.78 seconds. To achieve those figures, the Stingray was stripped to include just a racing seat and harness, and fire extinguisher system.

The Corvette equipped with the performance package is priced at $56,590. The Stingray goes on sale this September with a base $51,995 price (including destination charges).

The $2,800 optional Z51 performance package adds an electronic limited-slip differential; dry-sump oiling system; integral brake, differential and transmission cooling; and aero package.

Magnetic Ride Control with Performance Traction Management is a $1,795 option.

Do you know if launch control will be available on automatic trannys?

Default 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray good for up to 30 mpg*

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray good for up to 30 mpg*

Corvette Stingray Most Efficient Sports Car on the Market

-No other car can match the 2014 Corvette Stingray, which delivers 455 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 29 mpg highway

DETROIT – The 2014 Corvette Stingray will deliver up an EPA-estimated 17 miles per gallon in the city, and 29 mpg on the highway. This makes the new Corvette Stingray the most fuel efficient sports car on the market, as no other car offers more than more than 455 horsepower and greater than 29 mpg highway.

"The Corvette Stingray establishes the benchmark for modern performance cars by using technologies to deliver more performance and more miles per gallon," said Tadge Juechter, executive chief engineer for the Corvette. "We expect more and more performance cars will follow Corvette's example."

The EPA estimate of 17 city and 29 highway is for the Corvette Stingray equipped with an all-new, seven-speed manual transmission. The estimate reflects an average of fuel economy in both the default "Tour" mode (which delivers 28 mpg highway) and driver-selectable "Eco" mode (which delivers 30 mpg highway). For Stingrays equipped with the seven-speed manual transmission, Eco mode enables Active Fuel Management, which disables four of the cylinders during light engine loads for improved fuel economy.

For Corvette Stingrays equipped with the six-speed automatic, Active Fuel Management is active in all drive modes until the driver engages the manual-shift mode using the steering-wheel paddles. Fuel economy estimates for Corvette Stingrays equipped with the six-speed automatic will be finalized soon.

Significantly, the all-new Corvette Stingray is more fuel efficient and more powerful. The highway rating represents an 11-percent increase in fuel economy over the previous Corvette, while the all-new 6.2L LT1 V-8 delivers 455 horsepower, a 6-percent increase over the previous Corvette (the LT1 delivers 460 horsepower with the available dual-mode exhaust).

By comparison, the Porsche 911 Carrera S delivers 400 horsepower, and an EPA-estimated 27 mpg highway.

Sports cars with more than 455 horsepower typically offer significantly lower highway fuel economy estimates than the Corvette Stingray. For example, the Jaguar F-Type S offers 495 hp and 23 mpg highway while the Audi R8 V10 offers 510 hp and 19 mpg highway.

Sports cars that deliver more than 29 mpg highway based on EPA estimates typically deliver significantly less engine output. For example, the Porsche Cayman offers 30 mpg and 275 hp while the BMW Z4 sDrive28 delivers 34 mpg and 241 hp.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe goes on sale this fall, with a convertible following by the end of the year.

455 horsepower and 30 mpg's. 207 horsepower and 30 mpg's. Lexus should be embarrassed.
The 2.0T can't come fast enough.

My Torch Red Z51 with 3LT Kalahari trim, Carbon Fiber dash, Red Calipers, and Performance Exhaust should arrive in the latter part of November.

One nice part is with one factory in Bowling Green KY that produces nothing but 'Vettes you can even track online the production status as it gets close. Hopefully by Sept I'll know the TPW (target production week) and shortly after that the actual date. I may pay extra to pick it up at NCM (National Corvette Museum) across the highway from the factory. It's a special deal and includes a VIP factory tour.

In ECO mode it runs on 4 cyl until it requires more power than 4 can give and automatically shifts to all 8.

Nice =)

In fact, that is a MUCH BETTER feature

Obviously, that is way better to have instead of some retarded mechanism that prevents you from upshifting to 2nd or 3rd gear
