+1, something different too...these are pretty exclusive cars IMO...don't see a million running around.

Agree, you're shortchanging the latest round of S vehicles which have proven to be pretty dynamic and more than hold their own against the competition.

Out of that list, seems like the CLS is the only option so far.
I however would pick the LS460 given the mileage that you drive, but it seems like you're already having second thoughts.
AMG, equity, and value don't belong in the same sentence (unless it hits that big depreciation already without the high mileage)

Next 6 months.....unless great deal comes along. Just paid off SL55....so would love to drive it for a few months to gain some equity back (ha....unless it breaks again...which is very possible). Unfortunately, leasing looks out for me because of the miles I put on (that's why I got rid of the 750).
Wait do you have an SL55 AMG or an SL500 (or both?). I don't understand how you would get "equity" back by driving a car longer. What do you mean?
The best way to get the most out of any car is to buy it outright and literally run it into the ground. On a per month basis, you get the best value over long periods of time that way.

Have you considered the Audi RS5? Seems like it is within your budget, and as a current owner of a B8 A4, I can vouch for the awesome build quality of Audis. Interior finish is second to none, and performance exceeds anything Lexus has to offer. Or, you also can't go wrong with a 535i or a 4GS either. Good luck with car shopping!

Given the specific choices on your list, I'd take the LS460, hands-down...I think it is probably the best overall daily-driver, would have the lowest noise-level, and would probably be the most reliable one in the long run. If ride-comfort is a high priority, though, it's hard to beat the non-AMG Mercedes S55....Mercedes engineers did a superb job on its suspension.

It would be dumb to sell it now for $22-23 and lose $4k....especially when it's going to be crappy weather here for the next 4-5 months.

None of the cars in your list are good looking enough in my opinion. But i would go for F10 550i M sport or the new Lexus LS460 F sport because at least they don't belong to the ugly quirky departments.
